You are 100 percent right about 4 years ago we had a rat infestation in our garage and they said with the poison we had to remove all types of hydration for them to die. By the end they go so desperate for water they were eating through packs of baby wipes to get some kind of water. Luckily we have been rat free since the cat and getting rid of all bird feeders.

I’ve used those. The only issue is mice and rats eat anything, even each other. So one of their own gets caught in the glue trap, dies and their buddies eat the dead mouse. When I saw that I almost threw up in my mouth.

Don't leave food and drink in the cab. Get a rat zapper electric trap and kill the vile little critters

My concerns with poison are the one's mentioned above. I have been using a Victor and peanut butter to no avail. I'll give honey a shot, but this guy has literally licked the trap spotless every night. there isn't even peanut oil resin and when I test the trap it snaps with the slightest touch. I think I'll set out multiple Victor traps with different flavored baits. my only concern is that I end up attracting more somehow. I did pick up one of these today.[IMG]
Anyone have any ideas on how well they work or have any experience with it?
    • Option to use as live-catch
    • One-way door design
    • Safe to use around children and pets
    • Traps up to 12 mice per setting
    • Lid opens for easy cleaning, use indoor or outdoor

This is what all food manufacturing facilities use for pest control, work well

Generally, these are considered one of the best live trap for mice. All they do is walk up a tip ramp to get to the food. The trap cannot really be beaten, but some mice will just not figure out how to get In it. But, where I live I could put that trap outside for an hour and have 5 fat brown mice so imo they work well. Most pest control companies I’ve come across use them with poison inside. Keep trying the victor snaps, too. Put a bit of nut butter under the trip lever as well so they really have to play with the trap to get food. Best of luck. Sounds like you have smarter mice than I normally deal with

Well I hope your outcome will be like mine. While transporting the mousetrap and mouse, it somehow fell on the floor, the mouse got out, and bolted under the dash. "Oh shit!"... the smell if I don't catch this thing was my first thought. For the next week I set the same trap (mice are smarter than we think, apparently) with no luck. One morning about five days later I saw the varmint run across the drivers side compartment and up under the dash. So I knew it was still alive. Well I never did see it again after that, nor did I encounter a smell of a dead animal. So there has to be a hole big enough for way to get out on it's own. Good luck! I hope you have the same outcome.

I have spread a dusting of flour out to track them. Learned where to put the traps. If the mouse is living in the truck as opposed to going into it for food you will not see tracks in the flour around the truck. If you do then spread the dusting out in the direction the tracks went. This is if you keep it in a garage, if not my idea will not work. Some 110 conibears will make short fork of them.

Just put the poison traps on the ground by your tires. They eat the poison inside that tastes like food and/or take it back to their nests then kill the rest of the rodent family (hopefully outside of your truck).
