There’s only one way to order a steak. Tell the waiter to knock it’s horns off, wipe it’s ass, and walk through a warm room... :D

    Good afternoon / evening!

My wife and I finally finished painting, repairing, and cleaning our house that my wife’s dad was staying in. Had new carpet put in on Friday and had the realtor come by yesterday to put it on the market. My wife is now an emotional wreck. She feels she’s losing the last bit of her parents by selling it but she doesn’t want to keep it either (too many memories...inside is all the things her and her mom did and she can hardly go into the garage, she always falls apart, as it is where she and her dad spent so much time when she was growing up). As I’ve said before, all I can do is be here for her. It really is hard seeing her go through this and seeing her crying about both of her parents and how she misses them. She really was always there for them and made sure they were taken care of. Even at the end she stayed with them until they were gone. She wouldn’t leave their side and assisted hospice every way she could. I truly don’t know where she gets the strength.

I’m a very fortunate guy to have her in my life.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest, it helped.

This is a scenario which I know I will have to deal with some day as well. And I do not know how I will do it....

So sorry she is going through this..... BTDT. Still have some of my folks' stuff - can't bear to get rid of it. when going through my folks' and sisters stuff 13+ years ago spent the whole time crying... what gave me the right to throw out stuff that meant something to them? Lost both my folks within 6 months of each other, and sister a few years later. It's tough. With your support, she'll make it. It's not easy by any means. She should pick a few things that mean the most to keep. Donating some to those in need helped some. Good luck to her.

Well, went to Best Buy this afternoon. Picked up a 55" LG. Wasn't sure I was going to be allowed to get one quite that big but the salesman came through when he said "you can always exchange it for a smaller one within 15 days"
