Oh you mean this motor ;)

Block is good for 1000hp and the turbos 1200hp :) ported heads and upgraded fuel to boot. I want to sit at about 650rwhp until I'm ready to build the trans and see how much it'll do. After that I was thinking of a sweet mid travel kit :D

Just the stock 6R80. They're pretty stout trans and some guys are pushing 750+rwhp with just an upgraded torque converter. Eventually though it'll fail but you really only need a billet intermediate shaft and upgraded clutches. Then the trans is good for around 1000-1200rwhp. Anymore that that you need to start looking at billet planetary gears and more. But really for that much money just buy a gearstar TH400 and call it done. :D

Have you looked into the PBH kit? Had a Ford friend in Lubbock who talked about it all the time, he always said it wasn't very invasive and sub $1000 if I remember right

Yupp that's the clutches and the intermediate shaft. I am actually researching how I want to go about it. Buy a trans built from PBH or buy a core and send it out to be built by team beef cake racing. Both very great options but price is key for me.

I think PBH used their own clutches and shafts too. Beef Cake uses the more Well known and proven TCS billet intermediate shaft and exedy stage 2 clutches

I blew up two mildly upgraded 700R4 trannies. Just over-build your drivetrain. It'll save you headaches down the road.

I'm going to eventually have a Max effort tune that I can track with but daily it'll be around 650-750. This way I don't want to punch myself for making an undrivable truck.

    Heh me too

If I sell the truck I'm taking the drivetrain with me and figuring out how to swap it into a fox body or maybe an old F100

It would be sick in an old fox body. Especially behind an auto with a good torque converter on the strip

The engine builder bought a fox body for the purpose of putting a motor like that in it. If they can fit the coyote in them I think I'm fine

I've seen a few turbo fox body moose-wangs tear it up. So much fun.

Oh dude I would love to find a fox body but already restored. I've tried restorations before and it's just not my thing

I did a full restoration with factory parts through the dealer on a German-spec 1989 BMW 318i M-spec 4-door. I'm good on frame up restorations lol. Maybe on something 50-years-old plus I'll do it again
