Excuse my ignorance but is your Tacoma a TRD pro and if so what was the other Tacoma? I have most of my Kit and am now wondering if it will work on my truck hoping it will since it's an older truck...

Mine is 17 off road 4x4. The guy at the shop tested it out on his 17 off road 4x4 it’s the same truck. It works on his but not on mine. So we’re swaping master cylinder just for shits and giggles at this point to see if that will fix the issue on a hind side if I knew this going into it I would not have done it. Seems to me like very little gain for a lot of pain.

The system is designed specifically for these trucks. StopTech is a major leading high quality USA brand, it isn’t like they would have botched this at the design level. Something isn’t right, especially being it works on another identical truck. Curious to see what you find out and hopefully it is sooner than later.

Just ordered the the cryo rotors above as I found them for $123.20 but free ground shipping so I will just have to wait. They were $150 everywhere else. now just need to find a deal on the pads. I paid with PayPal so if there are any issues I am protected.

Part number googling and google shopping are some of the best ways to find good deals online.

    Agreed.

But it’s hit or miss to what’s out there and if it’s actually in stock.

Yeah, the Left rotor is on national backorder. However from my research and talking to a few different brake guys who that’s all they sell say that there is no difference in performance buying a Left or Right. The Vanes in the rotor are straight and non directional as that would be the only reason to worry about the direction. But Amazon has the right rotor on prime for $150

The rotors all assembled with Powerstop powder coated OEM reman rotors.
The trd pads are very nice and come together banded and packed perfectly

So shop said they replaced the master cylinder brakes work /:braking power is marginally better in my opinion. Knowing it I wouldn’t have gone this route. Sad to say. New issue now while on the road to co stability control warning came on maybe 300 into the trip. Mild off roads maybe for 30 on gravel tripped it a few times and now it’s lit. Also tested crawl control functions getting system not available message. Any clues what this maybe related to and fix ? Don’t have my obd2 not sure what the hell is wrong.

Will probably sound dumb not sure what sst is. What tools regured to do this reset ? You are right the brake upgrade has been nothing but a waste of money and time. I presume the terrain system is part of the traction stability ? Maybe that’s why it doesn’t kick on.

Maybe I don't know what I am talking about here but thought on the new gen that the crawl control and stability ties into the braking system and uses anti skid for controlling these. My guess is the may have not connected something or try replaced something with an after market part that just pissed of off the truck. Just saying, no expertise here.
