You know, somehow it seems that you ladies find a very strong inner strength that lets you just work through it. Yes, there’s crying but you just do what needs to be done. I commend you for this and I’m sure when the scenario, unfortunately, comes around you will have that strength too. You strike me as a pretty strong person.

Ok so here is my day.

A.C. specialist came this morning and got it running again.

This afternoon, it died again. One of the hottest days of the year. I have been waiting an hour to hear back from them.

Why have I waited? Because I am on call today and one customer called in around noon, I drove all the way out there and he cancelled the call when I was in the parking lot. I drove all the way back and he placed another call. So new shift guy is trying to fix the machine but odds are I have to drive back down there.

I put on shorts, wtf do you want?

    Sorry, I am not happy.
    Shorts are off again.

I did and I didn't do sr. discounts. But this trip I seen several menu items that were totally identical but one had a 55+ name attached and was cheaper, so screw that.

I am going to talk with some of the aarp business folks just to see if I can get some services cheaper, though I'm really leaning on doing as much local business as I can to support our economy.

Wow, that’s so close together to lose your loved ones. I’m sorry.

That’s exactly what she has said when going through the things. She has kept various things that are special to her and she does want to donate.

Thank you so much for the encouraging words and I will be sure to pass them along to her.

Nope, no dry heat. Had a thunder storm follow me up the hill from El Paso. Rain with a lightning show. Hopefully it'll loosen the bugs on the windshield.

BTW, only 2 drivers got the finger today (and tbey were in El Paso). Everyone else was well behaved.

All I can say is that I don't think about it. I just do whatever needs to be done to get through the day. I can think about it later.

Didn't think I'd survive my divorce. Leaving my husband with maybe $500 in the bank. Loaded up all of my possessions on a moving van, moved from AK back to MT. Started a new job. First time living on my own. I was scared shitless every single day that I would fail. But I didn't.
Just when I was starting to adjust mom was diagnosed with cancer. Dad was working and I didn't want him to be blackballed by the union for quitting a job (it happens) so I asked to work from home in order to take care of her post surgery. I was either working or helping mom for over two months. When all of that was over and I finally got a moment to stop and take it all in I was freakin exhausted. Still dont know how I managed to do it.
Few years of quiet and mom needs a hip replacement. Dad's retired now but I still try to do everything I can during her recovery. All is well until she developes a blood clot and spends the day before Thanksgiving in the ER. But she's stubborn (I take after her so  ) and insisted on coming home. I had a turkey thawed, had to cook it or throw it in the trash so I spent a very stressful day hovering over mom, her oxygen tank and heart monitor in between peeling potatoes and basting a turkey.
And then the icing on the cake...the next day I get a midnight text from my supervisor at work saying verbatim "I'm really drunk right now and need someone to fuck". From a 53 y/o married devout Christian. parked my ass outside the boss's door Monday morning to have a chat. Fully expected that creepy dude was gonna get fired on the spot but no. He apologized so all is right with the world. I hung on for four stressful months, constantly looking over my shoulder expecting him to escalate things. Went through a phase of "oh, I'm just making too much of this" to "WTF". Quit my job overnight after nearly 11 years. No plan, no idea what I was going to do just knew that I couldn't keep going on with all of that day after day.
Took a few weeks off. Camped and went to the Hotel Tacoma event. Came home and had a few days to sit and think, "well, now what?" Then out of the blue I get the job that I have now and I'm back on my feet. Been put in several situations that I'd never imagined I'd have to deal with and didn't think I would survive once I was in the middle of it. But here I am. Don't know what else will be thrown at me but if I've made it this far....
