The point for me, is "don't be a dick." I looked at some of the offerings by that vendor and others, and concluded that I didn't want to dazzle other road users. I didn't want to risk a ticket because all those lights will 100% attract law enforcement attention where I am. I don't think the Gravity G4 lights I bought are too bad, and my impression is that they were mindfully designed with consideration for other road users. I stood in front of my truck and walked down the street a little to see if there was any glare. I would have sent them back if I thought they dazzled anyone.

The function of a fog light is to illuminate below a horizontal plane at the level of the bumper. There is no point in lighting up the squirrels in the trees, that light is just going to be reflected into your eyes.

I agree with Rome604 and mrCanoehead. If they passed the SAE standards they they are legal, but...... they give me in my opinion without seeing them in person. To much glare and that could become a issue with some Leo's. I want better lighting but dont want to be that guy that blinds everyone either.

Definitely 100% agree on the BD design aesthetics. However no amount of aiming will keep the the BD lights from illuminating street signs unfortunately. Per BD this is ‘by design’. Fogs have no business illuminating street signs, as that is what your headlights are for, so the confusion in aiming is quiet understandable.

Yeah, sorry I wasn’t faster on the response there. I was at a 5yr old late night black light birthday party trying to watch like 30 little kids running around trying to harm themselves in every way imaginable.

Added links for BD factory connectors from @paranoid56 since the BD fogs do not include them. These connectors make the fogs plug and play to the factory wiring. I'll need to update the OP in a way in include all the latest fogs, since currently the image post is capped out.

Ceiling mounted. Couldn't help but think they should really be running a diffuser panel. I analyze that shit everywhere, automobiles are just a fraction.

Man I'm so disappointed about the BD SAE fogs. So strange they decided that illuminating street signs was a good idea. Can I please have the Rigid fogs in the BD color temp?

Does anyone think having 4 Rigid selective yellow fogs up front would be useless? I was planning on getting 2 white, 2 selective BD fogs to fill my 4 bumper holes but now I'm not sure what to do. Is there any other SAE white fog that comes close to the color temp of the BD (has to fit in a steel bumper square hole.

after seeing the BD squadron and sport in person i had a big wonder if the SAE ones would have a massive amount of glare like the squadron and sport do and guess i was right

my friend has em and yea i understand they are for off road only but i just don’t care for them
i’m satisfied with my rigids. no glare at all. nice cut off too

I would opt for 4 Rigid’s in selective yellow anyway (vs white + yellow), the color is better for the purpose. You might measure the bumper holes and see if the KC G34s would fit, their color temp is similar to Baja.

I’m going to run the Rigid’s as primary fogs, then the BD as aux fogs and wire it so the BD fogs are independently controllable when the main fogs are on, so the main fog switch will be effectively the master fog switch. This way I get the sharper cut offs and higher intensity of the Rigid’s, but then larger pattern area of the Bajas when I’m in areas without traffic.
