It varies year to year. But it seems about the same. Nothing overly difficult. Staircase as always gonna need the skinny.

Camped at Spaulding. Never been. Definitely wouldn't recommend. I dont hear good things about bowman either so probably not going to check that place out ever. But I did catch a rainbow in fuller at about 6am this morning.

Right on. Like I said I wasn’t able to make it but my brother walked it.

Hoping to go back and try it again with my new rig once I get it together. It’s a fun trail for how close it is for me.

It’s crazy man, have to go to deeper places. I know this isn’t off the beaten path, but it was insane. People set up with 6+ tents and 5 or 6 cars each.

We were blown away, only been there a few times, never saw anywhere near this amount of people. Hopefully they don’t trash the place. Bunch of inconsiderate people passed through, being loud at 2am and leaving trash.

Unfortunately this is the future of California (and eventually the whole country). Over population and whatnot, though it will take a long time to make places like Idaho, Montana or Wyoming feel small.

These places are going to continue to become more and more crowded. With the internet, nowhere is secret anymore. Half the reason im moving outta state is just to get away from the population and die before the masses spread inland.

    /end rant

Caught trout all day long. I know this one looks like a keeper but it was just short.

Got some oysters in Bodega Bay on the way home. Grilled with chorizo butter and lime

    Try the oysters next time!

Gualala River. We stayed at the campground right next to it. Drove my truck as far up as I could and floated down. Most action I’ve had fishing but they were all small. Maybe later on the year will be better :notsure: still hella fun though.

Sweet! I've never fished the Gualala but have wanted to for awhile. Sometimes quantity vs quality is more fun anyways.... may need to head up that way soon.
