Interstate tax sharing agreements are now becoming more common between states. Don't be surprised if you get a letter in the mail at the end of the tax year saying you owe tax $$$$ for online sales.

Met a guy at BadWolf Brewing and we got to talking about off roading. He liked my Taco parked next to his Ranger. When he described the challenges of Peter's Mill I was confused. I have not been there since the 90's and back then it was not more challenging than a fire road and did not have any side roads off of it.

Swamp coolers don't work around here. They need dry desert air for evaporative cooling. Way too humid in the summer for them to drop the air temp a measurable degree.

 

That would explain why my friend in Tucson swears by hers. It also explains why they kind of sucked in some military buildings I've been in.

 

Downside is that in places where they actually work, the water is as expensive as electricity needed to run a regular A/C compressor.
