I think we just have a couple days, it's the rest of the US that's getting hammered. Last I saw we're supposed to hit 115 today then coast back down to 105-ish.

The next 10 days are higher temps than we've had all year but still not what we've had the last 6 years we've lived in the desert. Maybe this was the other side of that long winter we had (?).

Put in leave slip for 12 bells today. Have my old lawn tractor loaded on trailer, taking her to new home @ the cabin. Gonna mow around the cabin this afternoon, trying to get my list finished before Friday. Don't think I will get every item completed but oh well. Have a good Monday everybody. This tune fits my mood today! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H74RqPzKrY0

Anyone on here like Reuben sandwiches? Any preference for corned beef vs pastrami? I've proposed them to my friends for camping trip dinners, but they always groan and wince. We share dinner duties on camp trips: each person is responsible for making dinner for the group on one night. Works out much better than each person packing individual dinners for themselves only.
My Reuben recipe is pretty standard: meat, swiss cheese, sauerkraut on rye, pan-toasted until cheese melts, pull apart and add 1000 island (or dip in dressing), enjoy.

Pastrami Reuben here. I don't like rye bread, I really want to as I feel I'm missing out on something, so I get my sammies on sourdough. :crapstorm:
