This is the thick of the flat. The one I'm really monitoring. Little double stall in there.

    12.5 hours in.

should be on pace to eat at a normal time tonight.:fingerscrossed:

really digging the trends and app usage.

hardest part is not being there to take pictures of the damn meat itself  you know I'm going nuts here :goingcrazy:

Let me know how you like it. I've had mine a couple years and it's been rock solid. (FWIW I also have a Thermopop, which I don't really like that much but find it's handy to have a spare so I've kept it)

See Meater's website - 15% off the block there and claims to be in stock. Of course it's still $28 more than if you'd preordered at the $200 price.

gotcha. I love my Shun but have read many good things on the dalstrong line. I have the shun premier 10" chefs knife. it fit my hand the best. Found a local store to go try them out. some just felt wonky and weird.

I'm eyballing some Dalstrong knives currently though

Weird, haven't had that kind of battery consumption with mine. I found the press-the-little-button-and-hold-it to turn it on and off was a PITA vs flipping open the pointy part.

I'm already spending too much on Prime DAy haha but thanks!
I might just do the Dalstrong... I love that hammered steel look of it. It's gonna last a long time so it's not like it's a shitty purchase either way

The MkV still includes the lanyard not sure where you got the idea it doesn't. But I didn't attach it, last thing I want is plastic or cloth hanging down over a hot grill to burn or catch fire. And the Silicone boot has magnets in it although I got the boot for the glow in the dark feature. The MkV is already waterproof where the Javelin is not.

Looking at the reviews on the Javelin 10% (115) of the critical reviewers say there is no customer support or real warranty\replacement, crickets when it breaks. Looks like another disposal thermometer. 1 in 10 is not a bus I want to ride anymore. For 50% more can get the MkV which does have support and a real warranty. I tell the hardware and software vendors that try to sell me something I only have 3 requirements. Must meet my needs requirements. Must work and when it doesn't has to have great support. Wish I would have done that in my personal life a long time ago until just recently, would be money ahead by now :pout:

I'd email Thermoworks for a replacement\repair. That isn't right I use the hell out of mine and still have the original batteries. In all of them.

LOL almost mentioned that... All LCD's start to freeze up when it gets close to twenties below zero Fahrenheit. No one has working specs for where you and I live, most everything is made for where the other 95% of the people live!
