    I will second Bacon's

Look at Mahindra... Even the TYMs seem to be pretty good machines.
But, after doing all my digging, poking, and using a buddy's Kubota...
The Mahindra was at the top of my list....

Had a good chat with the wife about our camper on the way home from VT last night. If you remember, I found some leaking water in the front wall last year and took steps to seal it and prevent further damage. What I found while I was sealing it is horrible though, tons of rotten wood, sections where a fastener won't hold, just a general mess. So we evaluated our options; do nothing and hope it doesn't get any worse (fat chance), sell it as-is (probably take a big hit and end up owing more that I get from selling), or take off the siding rebuild the wall and carry on. We decided to rebuild the front wall. From what I've seen online, it's not that complicated (sure there are gotchas, and always hidden stuff, but that's how I found the rot in the first place), but I was curious, have any of you done this before? Would you do it again in this situation?

I actually helped a friend rebuild his front wall of his camper last year. Just did it one piece at a time, it wasnt that bad. Once it was all done youd never even know we took it apart.

Just got my 30k service done this morning...got a long way to catch up!

I like Mahindra, I like their prices a lot too. But I've been reading a lot of bad stuff on the forums which has sort of scared me off. We do have a dealer close by which would make the repairs easy...and TBH most my work isn't "time sensitive" and has some wiggle room usually. They have a great warranty on them...

Cat and Kubota don't have dealers very close, and I don't like John Deeres stance on fixing your own equipment so I can't get myself to buy one no matter how nice they are.

TYM's I've heard good stuff, AVS maybe too? I think Yanmar just bought them out a week or two ago..had good luck with a yanmar excavator I used for a month a few years ago. I'm not opposed to some of these "smaller" (in USA at least) companies, just Mahindra seems to have a few kinks they need to work out. Has your buddy had any issues with his?

DUI? Rain? Texting? Any word on how

It's pretty much like framing a stick-built house, with no code to follow or inspection to keep you honest, right?

pretty much! I was also really surprised to see how small the wood is used for the framing. I hope you have a table saw. youll need it.

What'd you go with? I've been toying with the idea of getting one and starting to do camping roadtrips with the wife.

I don't have any issues with the ladder yet. I mounted mine on a set of low bars so I needed less ladder height than stock which led to me drilling an additional pair of holes to make it latch one rung shorter than factory, but I don't see them being an issue.

Used it Friday night worked like a charm. This pic is when me and Eammon installed it.

On that yes it's not terrible but can be improved.
