I love threads like this. People modifying trucks to their liking and getting help getting everything back up and going. Beats hearing the same bitching about 3rd gens constantly.

Step 1(1st page) is clearing the zero point.
Step 2(2nd page) is calibrating the zero point.

Does this problem only affect the 3rd gens? I've had a 2" lift on my 2010 for over a year and haven't run into any issues with sensors.

The shop had my car lifted new wheels and tires and they did alignment in house and apparently reset it. Or so they said. I’ve driven maybe 300 miles some mild gravel roads and it came on. So I’m wondering if something else could have happened /: sorry if this is dumb but can you explain in layman terms what the step two needs ? First step seems easy enough short the wire while car is leveled ...

I'd check the wheel speed sensors/wires.
You might have damaged something offroading.

There's a way to pull codes by using a jumper in the OBD2 and monitoring the blinking ABS light. It's not as good as a scanner, as it groups some DTCs together. I can post it if you'd like; just need to know which model you have.

Not the pro. Wires seems to be put not damaged. I’m also guessing that if it wasn’t reset it wouldn’t have triggered right away since computer usually stores codes and tries to resolve if it’s a true issue prior to putting out a warning.

Agreed. All the good parts are just out of view.

Hello older post from Google search Engine. Just wanted to know if this is still been an issue for people? I think the monkey evil guy did a drop bracket lift, which I would think would be less susceptible to Yaw sensor geometry issues. So it looks like this issue happens for all types of lifts? also as far as the reset happening after a code clearing, something that pops to mind I've seen some service manuals where the computer may only check something every so many key cycles, for example the ABS may check some functionality every 50 key cycles, so you could fix or change that functionality and it didn't know, unless you reset the computer in which case it goes back to 1st key cycle where it checks everything. who knows really.

Yea just bought a 2017 fresh lift and what not and though of yea take it to Schwabs have them reset the code and they are telling
Me, take it to Toyota. Toyota claims 3 hours to diagnose and reset= 300+ bucks.... so does a guy who has never recalibrated a comp do the above or pay...

Dealing with this same issue on my 16 trd sport and have an appointment on Tuesday at Toyota dealership to reset vsc, i don’t feel confident enough to attempt resetting myself. Anyways it was curious on the safety of my truck until then, only happens in turns so I’ve just been turning slowly
