All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Got a design whipped up? If it fits within my machine constraints then I don't see why not.

I can get a design. Was gonna make a cardboard template. Then make measurements from that.
My 3D skill set in computer using Maya, Cinema4d and other FX programs. Not sure I the App it takes to output the file type you need. Some sort of .stl I presume.
I will have to take some pics of the 3d printed creatures I have made for film.
Printed them using a rapid prototype printer using wax resin. Super cool and extremely detailed.

Yeah an .stl will work, or if you have some basic measurements, i may be able to whip something up depending on how complex it is. Yeah that would be neat to see for sure

Hmm, I need dog restraint panels made too. It’s been on my list to do for over a year...

The one I am designing works like this for the 3rd gen. Probably would work for the 2nd gen too. Can’t remember how my backseats laid down.

Anyway, you lay your rear seats down.

The panel utilizes the headrest holes in the tops of the rear seats in their folded position. Keeping the panel upright by pins at the bottom of the dog barrier, that slide into the headrest holes.

You then use two cinch straps to hold the tops of the corner of the panels to the Oh-Shit handles in the back.
This would have the panel go straight across the back of the front seats and held into place.

Preferably this would be made out of one sheet of Aluminum, that would have hexagonal holes spaced evenly apart from one another. Making a Molle rack that you can easily see through.

So I am thinking of something like this scaled up.
The top corners would dive in more at an angle to match the roof line.

I really like that design. If I had a winch, I'd say yes. I think you'll get a decent amount of interest from the larger Toyota community though.

I plan to get a winch eventually, but I'm nowhere near there yet. So my input is essentially worthless.

Your input is not worthless! Any feedback can be helpful.

I agree with you both, but we'll see what kind of attention the post on the 2nd gen BST gets and go from there.

The only caveat I'm thinking about right now is that my waterjet is probably not big enough to cut a piece of alum long enough to fit in the width of the cab. It would have to be a two piece design with my machines, more than likely. Idea is solid, aside from the possible size constraint, it would be fairly straight forward to produce. Would need cab measurements from you and headrest position measurements.

I don't know if that will work for the dog restraint panels I'm looking to design. Mine would be for the bed, hanging down from the topper and connecting to the top of the Decked drawer system. I'd have to look to see how long I want it to be, but I think it is going to be close to 5'+.

Do you know another shop that could do it? Or a place that has access to banker's wire and could weld a rod frame to it after cutting it?

Yeah, my machine wouldnt be able to accommodate 5' unfortunately. The place i recently got my bumper powdercoated, has two laser cutters that are ginormous that would def be able to cut something of that size. It is Packer Industries, they are located in Smryna
