All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Have fun. I’m fixing to head to Florida for a funeral. It’s actually a celebration of life

Hello GA crew. I bought a DMM and want to connect 2 lightning cables behind the dash and run the ends out of the DMM- top of dash for my phone and a tablet. I'm not comfortable cutting wires behind the dash so I'll probably pay someone to do the install. Have any of you done this type of setup? Any suggestion on USB connection for behind the dash?

I know people that have tapped into their lighter socket if I am not mistaken.
Let me see if I can find the thread.
I believe it was linked to the Expedition Essentials TPAM.

That's what i was thinking, too- lighter socket. Was thinking to have him put this behind the dash and run cables up.

Any of you guys with second gens have a lag in your Bluetooth? Say you're watching a YouTube vid the audio is about 2 seconds behind the video. And when on a phone convo also which is a huge pain in the ass bc both people are constantly feeling like they are interrupting each other bc of it.

Yes. It’s an entune thing. My 5th gen did it and my 2nd gen does it

Never noticed that on our 5th gen 4runner w/ entune. Also doesn't happen in my taco, but that's a Kenwood receiver.

So yours also does it while on a phone convo? Not just when streaming a video?

Hard to tell but I think so. Sometimes I feel like it’s easier to step over people in my car than on the phone itself

Also, if you google it it is common amongst lots of Toyota vehicles and other makes. It has to do with the quality of the Bluetooth hardware in the unit and/or a delay that is used to ensure data transfer without skipping.
