Adding to the Dr thing you never know what's going to show up later. I'm having surgery on August 12th to repair a 4 inch tear in my diaphragm muscle that my liver is poking through and partially collapsing my lung. This is from that accident in April 2018. You never know.

If the insurance company doesn't treat you well maybe consider getting an attorney. Most will give a free consultation at the least.

 

The real reason to go ASAP is if there is a problem, there’s very little gap between the accident and diagnosis. The longer that gap is; the less likely insurance will want to pay.

 

Yes, and legal stuff like personal compensation ala civil proceedings are helped by early, immediate documentation, not 6 months later.

The only way I don't pay (directly or indirectly) is if the truck gets repaired. If not, I will have a net loss on all the parts when I resell them and I will only be able to repay about half of the borrowed down payment I got from Kelly (originally to be repaid from sale of the 1st gen). That essentially means I'll still have to make a "truck payment" to Kelly until I pay off the balance of the down. I expect that to be between $5000 and $7000. Depends on the value they give the truck.

If it ends up totaled and I'm back in the 1st gen, I suppose you could consider the 1st gen parts I pulled and sold a loss also.

I get something similar but on the drivers side, I think it might be the seal between the door and A pillar. Only happens in heavy wind or going really fast.

 

There's a known issue on the third gens which I've run into driving in a stiff wind, is that there's a hole in the frame below the driver door that's causing a note to be played. It's like blowing across the hole on a flute. Apparently there's no pretty fix other than duct tape.

I'm not sure it could be that on a 2nd gen.
