Yeah they have lots of warnings, but it's mostly against pressurized things and things with liquids. I think it's funny the guy at FedEx always looks at me suspiciously and asks what I'm shipping. Like the other day I shipped some brake calipers and he's asked what they are and I told him straight up. He stared me down like he was a prosecutor dealing with a hostile witness.

I always use the term "machined parts" when asked by the post office people. Its a broad term that truthfully covers almost any metal object.

That's probably oil in that gif....food photography uses all kinds of stuff you would never want near your food in order to photograph it well. Motor oil is usually used for chocolate. Mashed potatoes are usually used in place of actual ice cream (since it melts).

One of the first things we were told in our food photography class back in school was to never go into a food photo shoot expecting to eat what you're shooting lol.

It probably was cause there's nothing that intersects those holes. I know when I do an oil change on the cruiser I fill the ABS wire tray on the axle full of oil.

my DS one was pretty soaked in oil, which I assume contributed to its failure. Unfortunately I think the poly bushings might suffer the same fate. I really want to run an oil filter relocate so I can stop having to worry about all of that spillage.

Just flip something over the rack and control arm while you change the thing.

Pretty sure I contributed to my LCA bushing's demise when I got brake fluid all over it last year. Stupid bleeder hose popped off right as my wife pressed on the pedal...brake fluid everywhere lol

    Who needs power steering anyway

Actually that would really suck to not have power steering on a crawling trail

I think the real solution is to stop being lazy and drop the skid when I change the oil :homer:

Yeah fuck that...tried that one time because my skid is a PITA to take on/off but it was one hell of a mess...2/3 of the oil missed the cutout hole in the skid and spread out across the whole thing, dripping all over the place from every side. Never again lol

So I called Fedex and UPS hazardous materials offices. In order to ship a air bag it needs to be packed by a licensed hazardous shipper. It has to go in a safety bag and then in a box larger then the size of the air bag deployed, and this is to ship ground. USPS said no not at all. Its a pain in the ass I have 3 bags that need to go to SoCal...

That sucks. Although it would be funny to see someone's reaction to an airbag going off in a box behind them. Hopefully not while driving.

Definitely. And since the oil changes suck that bad, might as well switch to the extended protection Mobil 1 stuff and a decent filter. Then you only deal with it once a year:cool: and yes the oil really is good for that long
