I have a really nice soft water system at my house and I'm still not able to let them air dry without getting some water spots. Not as bad as hard water.

Washing cars in Arizona is some high intensity shit, I tell you what. Back on the east coast you have time to sit down and finish your beer and then figure out where the towels are as long as you’re in the shade and you won’t see water spots.

Here any hesitation means half the car has spots.

Talking about water softeners/Reverse Osmosis home water systems. My uncle has his own business doing it for the better part of 2 decades. He's very honest and fair. If you guys need anything done, PM me for his info. He's old school and doesn't have a website lol, but he really knows his stuff. He services the entire valley.

Yup I have a secondary bib for just soft water to wash cars with. I've lived here my entire life and always had software, still can't wash a car without spots.

Funny you say that as I just washed mine at my apartment complex last night...def have to have your shit together when doing the wipe down. I will actually slightly mist my truck just before I start to towel it up...amazingly at night it still dries pretty fast.

As a guy who just left the east coast...yea they can keep that and their humidity. As far as spots, it seems they appear whether Im in the sun, shade, midnight, etc. in the AZ. Could be the water content here though?

We have AHS as well mostly cause they're consistent over the years. They've done their part, the timing just sucks whenever something happens on a weekend. Guy came out confirmed the motor blew has to order a new part but it is a specialized part that no one stocks which means tomorrow at the earliest but most likely Wednesday before it gets here and they can replace.

Only reason I considered switching away from AHS was another company offered weekend calls at an upcharge which we would have gladly paid for something like this. However their reviews and complaints were way worse than the reviews and complaints for AHS.

yeah, having something go out on a weekend is a real bummer especially when it is AC. AHS has been decent for me as well, when I had them look at my microwave for a damaged button which was discontinued, they replaced the entire $1,100 unit without any hassle at all.

The only time I had an issue is when my water heater went out. The company they sent out wanted to charge me an absurd amount for just the fittings and about 2ft of copper pipe (I think it was like $700). I had to call AHS and tell them I would replace it myself and they only wanted to pay like $200 for the water heater, after a few days of back and forth we ended up settling on them paying me like $500 and I put the rest out of pocket for a much higher quality water heater.

    Overall I would recommend them.

Can we talk about home warranties for a while. My ac unit just went out but I have no warranty. It's looking like 5500 to replace the entire unit. This includes the crane charge because I have a 2 story. I dont want to do this again. I see you guys are moving away from AHS, who else is a good company for things like this?

Not moving away from AHS actually like them. Never really had an issue other than the no weekend calls option. They're consistent to their contract without much hassle. I'm also the kind of person that reads shit like contracts. Their coverage is pretty solid just pay attention to things that may need extra like higher end appliances etc. In all honesty all the home warranty companies have shitty reviews. We stuck with AHS cause their contact is pretty clear and they were very consistent in the times we used them when renting from the previous owner of our condo.

Are you going to have to pay out of pocket for your AC repair / replacement?

$75 for the deductible. But is only fixing a broken blower motor. Not a full replacement of the unit.
