Mom spanked us when we really needed it. My dad worked 16 hours a day and was too tired to do it. He swatted my butt once that I remember. Most of the time we'd get grounded from doing our favorite things. My wife and I never spanked our own kids. None of them are in prison so I guess it worked out okay.
