    Thanks!

I used a Porter Cable Random Orbital Polisher with a couple different compounds for cutting that are made by a local detail / auto body supply shop. The first is a heavy cutting compound for deeper scratch removal with a heavy pad the second is a speed compound for lighter and spider web type scratches with a medium pad. The final mechanical step is Klasse "All In One" with a polishing pad. Then a paste / butter wax.

I prefer the Random Orbital to a standard buffer. They are lighter and easier to control.

I am quite proud of the result. Portering vehicles was one of my first jobs out of high school and it has been some time since I really got into it like I did here.

This shot shows the pattern of compound all spread out with a few rounds of working it in. Then a couple more 'after' pics....cause I was really geeked at the finished product.

It's a TruXedo Lo Pro. Same one I had from my '16; just removed it prior to trade and put it on my '19.

I'd say it provides good weather protection. Water and dust still gets in, but it's minimal. There's tailgate seals out there, but I haven't bothered with one. Truxedo also makes foam pads to seal up the front: https://truxedo.com/images/Install Guides/1118059.pdf. I put some foam pads that had adhesive tape on my previous Taco, but didn't bother pulling them off to re-use.

Easy to roll out of the way for a motorcycle or while it's rolled up, you can remove it altogether. The side rails for the tonneau cover are attached by brackets that install on the side rails. Nothing permanent about it.

    Yes it is!

Guess I could call it a bed sheet. I did not bring it but will every time we are getting out there.

By the way, camping for a few days is fun. Bring GREAT FOOD and GREAT FRIENDS!

We have trucks for a reason, the folks I wheel with have them, and it is ALWAYS fun!!!!

If Glamping, as you call it is NOT fun, then do what you want. Not sure if you are critical or not?

I would rather be going places every other weekend where the SUBARU's cant get there and enjoy great company and having fun!

Put TVDVinyldecals.com pro grille letters on. Do not put these on dry, much easier wet. I went with the silver metallic for a nice subtle touch to brighten the letters.

Installed the 3rd rail below the window to mount a Rotopax 2 gallon gas can. Fits perfectly under the tonneau cover 20190715_201930.jpg

Looks great. And I agree that tires on 3rd Gen Tacomas look larger in person. 265/70/17 tires with appropriate lift look very nice on this truck, despite appearing smallish in photos.

Ordered these relentless fab mounts over the TG weekend and finally got around to putting them on a month or few ago.

I changed the hardware to all stainless steel and hex head to make it less easy to unscrew and walk away. Primed & painted the track nuts to minimize the rust. Also used nylock nuts to hold the hilift on instead of the wing nuts, if I need to use the HL I'll have the time to grab a 3/4 wrench.

IMO the mounting HL mounting studs could have been a bit longer and maybe a hole so that you could put a cotter pin to keep the wing nuts from backing off. Used a cut off wetsuit leg as a cover.

A pulaski is a far more useful tool than a regular axe, mounting it in the top location wasn't an option because the blade was over the bed sides.

Not sure if I'm missing something but the regular D handle rigid brand shovel wouldn't fit, had to use the trenching shovel that is straighter....

Did ECGS bushing and suspension this weekend. It definitely drives better than stock even on the 6112’s highest setting. I’m just trying to decide what wheels to go with now. Keeping the 32’s for now.

Added a shell. Not knowing what I was doing though I scratched my bedside next to the tailgate twice.
