    So I have co2 as my onboard air and one thing I'd like to do is buy an air ratchet as well as an air impact wrench (for lug nuts, so nothing with excessive torque).

    I would post this in the off road recovery and gear section, but I figured this thread may receive more exposure here.

    Again, I'm looking for those that use onboard air and use their tools for quick fixes off road.

    Been looking at the Craftsmen Air Ratchet, but unsure on an impact wrench to buy...

    Air Tools are quite thirsty figure the volume in your CO2 tank and the CFM needed to run your air tools .

    Unless you were saying your using a Co2 tank as a air tank for your on board compressor.

    A CO2 tank is great for putting air in a tire not for running Air Tools.

    Unless your carting around a 300 Cu foot tank in your bed

    Just use battery powered. You can recharge them in the bed outlet if you manage to kill them. (My Milwaukee impact wrench will last like 400 tire changes for instance)

    Relying on consumables is just a bad idea.

    Someone did mention that in another thread I posted;

    I plan on running a 5lb tank for my tires, and a separate 10lb tank for tools if needed.

    I don't expect to go on a month long trip, and I don't expect to use tools non-stop but I do understand the concern for running out of air.

    Having powered tools for non-powered would be a huge convenience; such small things bring great morale in the event that the fecal matter is intercepted by the air-cooling, oscillating device.

    1st gen brother; plus I was just wanting to use something I already have which is onboard air.

    Thanks for the suggestion though; I'd end up going with a DeWalt impact wrench if I ever got a battery powered impact though.
