Front Range Dent Removal did my hail-destroyed 4R two years back. Made it look like new, all PDR.

I'll come stop by and do my hail dance. In two years I've been hit twice with golf ball sized hail, shouldn't be hard to get a 3rd time.

Thanks in advance! I'll make sure to fully detail the truck again too--with our powers combined, we shall bring the storm!

So I took my truck to Bills Driveshaft Shop this morning for my scheduled appointment. The problem is is that they didnt tell me they are not allowed to work on vehicles and that I would have to bring them just my driveshaft. This is particularly frustrating as I specifically told them that this truck is my daily driver and I would have to arrange for someone to pick me up to take me to work. I guess I am guilty for assuming that that should tell them that I would be dropping the truck off and have someone then pick me up to take me to work.

So now I am left with the question, is the front driveshaft a good, or at least suitable, option to drive around on for a day? I am not a huge fan of this idea but it may wind up being my only option.

I just had mine done by them and drove my truck around for a day no problem in 4hi. You should be perfectly fine.

    Edit.
Also I dropped it off when they opened and it was done before 3 the same day.

I actually saw someone doing this last weekend. They tore up their driveshaft on a rock and just took it off and drove away in "front wheel drive"

Just realized FJ Summit starts tomorrow, man it's going to be crowded this weekend with a good chunk of the trails still closed up out there.

Anyone have a preferred mechanic / shop in the Englewood or Littleton area?

When I come to a complete stop and then accelerate, I have a "knocking" noise and feel like it is coming from drive shaft, front axle junction. not 100% sure but just my speculation.

No big deal in my opinion as long as you take it easy and don’t drive it like a jackass. I had a FWD taco for a few days without issue.

I have been having a simliar thing going on that I thought was coming from the right front. I am leaning now toward it being a bed bolt that has stopped doing what it is supposed to. I live in Littleton if you just want a second set of eyes and ears on it. One set inside and one set outside can be helpful thing.
