I have been happy with Toy Auto Masters off Broadway in Englewood. Very honest shop.

I'd check your u-joints and center support bearing. If you can diagnose problem as being drive shaft related and don't want to do the work yourself, then Bills Englewood Driveshaft discussed a few posts up might be an option if you pull your drive shaft and bring it in.

Get under the truck and give your shaft a good tug in every direction. The center support bearing should have some wiggle in it, but it should not be loose. Grab the two pieces of the shaft and try to rotate them against each other in both directions. These should be tight and shouldn't have any play. Each u-joint should have a little rubber seal at the bottom of the cap. Look at the seals around the u-joints for cracks. If the seals are broken or leaking grease, or you see grease splattered on the truck where the joints rotate, I'd replace them.

In the picture below, you can see one seal is completely missing and the other was cracked on my old u-joints. The needle bearings were all completely gone and the arms of the u-joint started to wear down to a point. This would make a loud knock on acceleration from a dead stop, then vibrations around 30mph.

Both of you should try greasing your slip joint on the driveshaft. I had something similar and that fixed it.

Engineer Pass - the open section.

I am so glad I left the area yesterday before the shit show and traffic on the only open passes (Ophir & partial engineer).

Where’s everyone getting their alignments these days? SW metro area preferred. Looking for somewhere knowledgeable about lifted vehicle suspensions.

I've given up on Big O, Just Brakes, etc. Going to dish out the extra cash this week to get it done at Toytec. That way I can at least get the numbers from them and tell the cheaper places to match them.

See I know what numbers I want/need, I just need to find a place with techs who know enough about aftermarket components to get it done without messing anything up.

I have done alright with Big O, I know some others use firestone. I always leave a note in the truck and hand a note to the guy at the counter with my desired numbers, and demand to speak with the actual tech so I can explain to him what I want. I also tell them the I'll be coming back to make them re-do it if they just blindly put everything in spec. They probably hate me as a customer telling them how to do their jobs, but I haven't had a problem since I started doing all that.

Worth a shot. Probably needs to be done anyway.

Went to Slee in Golden, a bit expensive but did a great job. I think was 120-130.

I had to pull mine apart to get it greased well enough to solve the problem. Hitting the zerk wasn’t sufficient

Check out Baker Garage off Santa Fe. That's where I get my truck aligned. Which I actually need to get that checked soon...

My last alignment was done by Toytec and it's the best one I've had so far

Great to know! If I let go of my steering wheel right now I'd end up in a ditch. Just Brakes was saying they couldn't do my caster right without replacing components of the LCA's. Drove just fine before I took it there though.. :annoyed:

Well the shaft is coming off this week anyway so that will take care of that.
