    Glad I’m not the only one who ran into this issue. I called my local dealer and they wanted $520 and said I would need to have a TRD Pro vin#. I ended up ordering the 53$ garnish earlier today

    Called Gunny at camelback and he quoted me 350$... theres nothing he can do about it he said and its legit what they are asking.

    went on to buy one for 46$ and now its 946$ a week later.......????????

    I have a bunch of these OEM I can ship, Hawaii or not... is a link for it, , I also include the push nuts needed to install it.
    eBay has a bunch of fake ones that they sell as OEM, they look shitty and scratch pretty easily. I'd stick with OEM on the garnish.

    I buy a lot of these (OEM), they always come wrapped in paper and never have that film over them, I've had eBay sellers try to scam me selling fakes as OEM, I hate to say it man but I think that is a fake one. the fake ones always have that film over them, and the film is also a bitch to take off, was it?

    the box does look legit though...

    i havent peeled it completely off but it doesnt seem like it would be a bitch...anything else that i can tell that would make it a fake? yeah the box kinda sold me but idk

    I remember when I was looking for a pro grill when I bought my 2018 late last year. The garnish was around $74 this was Hawaii price. I ended up not buying a pro grill.

    I think I sent back all the fake ones I had one sitting around but I wish I had taken pictures.
    The front of it looks a little different I don’t know how to explain it, I’ll take some close ups of the OEM and we can compare them. The molding on the back of them will not look as sharp. In the front the gray hex graphics are often misaligned.
    But one very easy way to tell is if the glossy part scratches when you wipe it with a cotton cloth it’s fake. The real ones will not scratch very easily which is also the reason the fake ones come with that plastic film on em (from my experience)

    Might return this one and get an OEM from your website, im like OCD about this type of shit idk why. It will probably work the same? i just want piece of mind lol. Let me know when you have close ups and we can compare the detail.

    If it’s working fine I wouldn’t think about it much. The eBay listing says it’s oem so it might be. The film makes me doubt it a bit but maybe the places I get them from are supplied by different places?
    I’ve bought my OEM garnishes from dealers in California and Florida. They were always wrapped in the brown paper with a smooth white cloth on the inside-side of that paper, never with a film.
