I'm raising my tank at the moment. :)

crawlbox goes in when I do the manual swap on the taco.
(4Runner is getting one too, and so is my wife's 1st gen)

You want the first option 79-95 Hilux pickup. Because that is the actual tcase you will be swapping the spring from/to.

Check with AA for the other parts. Give me a few days to see if I can find a part number, pretty sure some of the late Inchworm parts were AA parts numbers.

Okay, I'll call Marlin about the gears and HD springs, and then I'll go to AA for the other parts. Let me know about the part numbers.

Try Marlin as well for those parts, but figured they might not have them in stock as well.

yeah, I'll call them and ask. Just don't want to sound like an idiot when I'm asking for parts lol. If I ask for "coupler and transmission seal housing" will they know what I'm talking about? I'm not sure what other info they might need

You want a coupler for the back of the trans to the crawl box input, and a transmission seal and seal housing that gets hammered into the back of the trans.

I'd recommend buying the coupler from the same place you get 4.7's. Not all 23 spline 4.7's are cut the same. TG couplers will not fit Marlin 4.7's and vice versa.

V6 23 spline coupler (23 spline from trans | 23 spline going to tcase input)
Transmission seal housing Coupler (machined aluminum piece pressed into trans extension housing)
    Coupler seal (tcase input side)

x2 what @Snowy said, MAKE SURE MC gears match MC coupler or TG gears match TC coupler.

Here is what comes in the kit, which I believe has the seal that is last in your list.. so I guess I only need to ask about the 23 spline coupler and the trans seal coupler/housing?

They do have the coupler (MCTC-421 $149) and housing (MCTC-423 $25) but he has no idea if they have the competition kit (???) he said he would call me back. He initially said they didn't have it. They don't have a 23 spline XD kit either.

    @Littles

This may be an issue for yours. I'd call Marlin. My adapter is TG.

That's a tough call, I'd try and call again to see if they do in fact have them. Website shows 23spline 4.7 XDs are not available, but Comp 23spline 4.7s are. Not that means anything, but worth a shot.

If not, there are a few 2nd gens running the TG 4.7s without issue, and they are much heavy with a few more HP and seem to be holding up.

So I just called Marlin...they told me they don't make a transmission seal housing adapter that will allow me to put a TacoBox behind a 4.0 6-speed manual transmission. He said they never should have taken my TacoBox order to begin with:annoyed: I called advance adapters too and he didn't even have to look to tell me they don't make anything.

I find it hard to believe there's not a 2nd gen out there with marlin crawlbox bolted to a manual 6-speed transmission. Anyone out there have suggestions on where to turn to next?

Mine and @HomerTaco are behind a 6speed manual. Think he had to get his machined off of a drawing and mine came with the box from inchworm

Yours are both Inchworm though and mine's a marlin. The last few posts indicated that I may not be able to use an inchworm adapter with a marlin crawlbox, and marlin says they don't make an adapter.

I'm just referring to the coupler that connects the input shaft from the crawl box onto the tailshaft of the trans. Those are gear manufacturer specific
