the internet is a great place for information, unfortunately it can be a great place for misinformation too.

Please don't be a part of that....not on TW at least.

back to the point of this thread.....a mismatched spare tire is probably fine to run for a short amount of time on our open differentials, but not great long term. The most annoying part for me was that it was basically trying to turn the truck and I had to steer to correct it (I was running a 31" spare while the other 3 tires were 32"). Moving forward I've got matching (diameter) spares.....small price to pay for peace of mind on my $35k+ truck

This is going to be my last reply. If you are fucking with everyone, great. If not, you are wrong. Period. A 35x12.50 is a "flotation size". Flotation size tires are measured completely differently in inches, both height and width. Metric sized tires are measured in width and aspect ratio. Do you know what a ratio is? a 255/85 means that the sidewall is 85% of the width. If you increase the width while keeping the same ratio, you increase the height. Because it's a fucking ratio. I see the whole picture and you are not helping anyone out with completely wrong information. You should listen to everyone here and go do some research if you are serious.

Here’s the chart, so you can see the “full picture”.

You said you’ve been doing tires longer than you care to admit. I’d hate to see what you have been doing with tires

Yeah I have no idea. Although he is sciencing another thread. I don’t know or care enough about synthetic oil to fact check. Kinda curious if he just pops in to myth bust threads or not.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/switching-to-all-synthetic-castro-oils.618946/#post-21092044

Link isn’t to troll him in any way, more of a curiosity related to my comments above.

He's kind of, sort of right in that one. Synthetic oils are made from petrol components, but that doesn't mean that they are't better than dino oil. I just don't care to engage him any more. This comes to mind:

No one else responded. I just like when people don’t put a source document or when they do it’s some non official thing like Bob.bestoil.blog...

Hmmmm... Wonder if that’s a real blog?!

Ooo I like that meme. It’s like arguing politics. Most can’t or won’t openly listen to the other view point.
