    Flames yes ... smoke no ... they're north and south of us ... whichever way the wind blows we get smoke. And I pick up a whiff of burning smell a few times a day. Kristi thought the neighbor had a fire in their fire pit when she came home one day this week. Told her "nope, we're under a fire ban, you're smelling the wildfires up around Willow and Talkeetna."

    Not a good feeling! When we had the fires a few years ago it looked like we had ocean front property. The valley below my house was an ocean of smoke. Everyday I’d wonder if my house would still be there after work. I hope it gets under control!

    All is well. My mom just came down from Anchorage to visit, probably her last time to travel, she’s getting too old. We are planning on coming up next year. I’m just waiting on my sister to get an AC installed, it’s hot up there. ;)

    Actually, truth be told, we just moved. Swapped my 3 door 750 sf finished garage for a 255 sf unfinished garage built in 1932 with an antique accordion door and one naked light bulb.
