LA is a little far from me.
I’m sorta locked in where the trucks at anyways. Thanks for the recommendation though. I appreciate that.

Dude pulled the valve body yesterday.
I’m assuming he sent it to the other shop today but who knows. He said it should be done next week.

Good luck and hope you get it back on the road.

    Haha it’s alot to read.

The guy got a used valve body and said he’d have it installed and the truck ready tomorrow or Tuesday. Not holding my breath after everything but fingers crossed.

    Will advise

New valve body got installed in the truck. He test drove it and the shifting progression during acceleration is good. Good grab and all that. No slipping. but when he held it at a constant speed (30mph) it jumped from 4th to 2nd back up to 4th and then down to 3rd with out the pedal moving or the speed waiving from that initial 30mph.

Almost like the computer was sending mixed signals to the transmission. He suggested checking all the grounds and voltage points to make sure there’s not a shortage that could be causing some kind of electrical interference between the ECU and the transmission.

    FML.

At this point it sounds like you need to cut your losses and take it to the other shop who was able to figure out the issue.

All of this time wasted sounds like it would have been easier to pay the "top notch shop" upfront and called it done with. $1500 is well worth me not chasing down 4 months of headaches and back and forth with a moron who keeps incorrectly diagnosing stuff. But to each their own.

I hope you are able to resolve this quickly OP.

Damn, that’s the cheapest one I’ve seen.

    Thanks!

I need to find someone to do a swap with to see if that’s my issue

Could it be a cracked solder joint in the ecu? Maybe take a look. Soldering is easy.
