It’s really not bad at all. Honestly I think it rides better than stock. It’s more supportive but without being harsh and jarring. Truck feels more stable and planted on the highway. Haven’t had a chance to do any trails yet but just driving around my field watering trees it felt pretty good. My wife is super picky about the way suspension rides and she likes it a lot.

You know after looking at that a bit more, it almost looks like the little block Bilstein gives you for a brake extension with the left side shock.

Can I just get 5100's in the front, and expect a 1" lift like the PRO?

    Lean Spacer recommended?

Awesome. I was concerned how firm they would be. But I come from sporty cars so I think it’s all kind of perspective. The lift looks great on yours. Getting mine done next week.

5100 will not lift your truck, only coils will. You should get a 1/4” spacer yes.

The front 5100’s will. They are ride height adjustable. Snap ring grooves (if I’m not mistaken) allow for the height adjustment.

    3 years / 10K miles.

Replacement bushing is $9.00 but gotta pull the suspension out because shop press is needed.

I'll get it done in the next few days.

I wonder what caused the failure?

I've had mine on for 4+ years and 100K miles.

Pass side look okay. Drivers side looks like it went through a shredder. I can think of a couple different scenarios on how/why. I'll be pulling the front end apart and looking for other stuff that needs attention later this week...

So I ended up going 4/5 on my 6112 kit for my 2nd gen. Its a little to high for my liking and on certain bumps the shocks top out. So I possibly wanted to lower to 3/4. I'm currently at 24" (hub to fender) but I wanted between 23" - 23 1/2". I've driven over 500miles already and it seems there's no signs of settling. I already got my alignment the way I wanted it with SPC UCA.

Has anyone successfully lowered or raised a clip without getting a new alignment? I know that the alignment may change slightly, but would it be enough to throw it completely out.

You'll 100% want to get it re-aligned. Stuff has to be taken apart and geometry will change. It'll wear your tires out ridiculously fast if you don't.

Also from my experience, settling was about time, not mileage.

That does sound high for a #4 clip setting. I was at 22.5" on #3 and that was immediately after install.

Yeah, I've heard it can take up to a couple of months for it to settle. I dont have plans to get an armor up front so I may just keep it how it is for a few months and hope that it settles.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
So I'm just thinking out loud and want to verify my decision. I ordered my 6112s with Eibach 700# springs but have changed my mind and ordered 650# Bilstein springs. I ordered things set at the 5/4 clip settings. I want to get 1.5" of lift. A friend who works at a shop is going to change the springs for me, but I want to confirm 5/4 is where I should stay while they're apart. I know 5/4 is supposed to net 1.5" of lift with a stock weight truck. Also, they say the 650# springs will net an additional 0.5" while also at stock weight. With that in mind I have added weight, hence the 650# springs. I have a slimline bumper, 10k synthetic winch, steel skid trio, and sliders. My thinking is that the extra weight will negate the extra 0.5" Bilstein claims comes from the 650# springs, but I just want to check. I really don't want to go higher than 1.5" as I'd like to avoid CV complications. This should be my last question, as I already installed my rears and my ECGS bushing this week. Thanks for all the input and answers to questions, especially @crashngiggles and @oscolivar1!!

I was thinking the same way. I just did it in reverse and with a second gen. I put on 600lb springs, then added the weight, and now I am upgrading to the 650lb springs. I think you will be fine with that way of thinking.

Looking to purchase a set of 6112 for my 2018 SR, can someone point me to a vendor that sells the shocks preassembled...

    Thanks
