So I’m trying to figure out if there is much of a difference between the 2010 and 2014 Toyota Tacoma’s besides the interior / radios / steering wheel extra . Both are 4 door , 4x4 great trucks . Which is better as far as holding up longer , any major recalls and maintenance difference . I know some years are better then others . The 2014’s frame is good ( not new ) about 90,000 miles but price wise is around $27,000 where as the 2010 has around 103,000 maybe 109,000 new frame and around $19,995. The 2010 is an SR5 and the 2014 is a TRD sport

Performance-wise and utility-wise, you won't notice much (if any) difference. Mostly cosmetic differences, and 4 years of age. Assuming they are in similar condition and both maintained to the same level, I recommend buying the one according to your budget.

I’d say it comes down to how much you value 20,000 miles and 4 years?
Is it worth $7,000 more to you?
Does the frame replacement both you?
It doesn’t me, as almost everything on the truck should have been recently inspected.

I'd go with the 2014 but 27G seems like a lot, have you priced out the 2019 SR5 4x4, Toyota has low financing, your payments might be lower.

The 27G would be a bit lower were I’m trading in a vehicle . The 2010 is an SR5 and the 2014 is a TRD sport . I will be using this truck for some off road purposes . I guess it seems stupid but the looks of that 2014 is nice , I always liked the newer style, but I know the payments would be cheaper with the 2010.

Check for when Toyota changed frame manufacturers. I believe it started with 2011 models manufactured October 2010 or so. Previous frames were from the manufacturer that had more rust claims.

I’d want the 2014, but at 24k before trade in.

    27k is too much for a 2014 with 90k miles. I paid 27,700 for my 2015 with 20,700 miles.

I had to go outside my region to get it, but if you are patient, very patient, a deal will present itself.

As other guys said, 2014 price too much! I paid $29,500 for my 2013 TRD OR NEW. I would keep looking. There are better deals.

I have a 2010, one of the nicest things about the pre 2012 models is no secondary air pump. Yes there is a fix but you can be stranded on the road when it goes.

if you really want these Tacos, you will have to be really patient and possibly you might have to travel out of your zone to get one. I have been searching for one for a long time, and still searching haha. I am going for a 14 or 15 but 27k on a 90k 2014 is way too much

FWIW i paid 27k for my 2014 TRD OR with 35k miles. this was in sacramento, ca in january 2018. so yah, seems a bit steep for the mileage

I don't have much to add besides that given the info that you provided, i'd probably choose the 2010

Id go with the 2010 but im a little bias. Seriously the new frame and probably new leaf springs have been done . All the new control arms and bushings most off the fluids have been drained when they did the frame swap.ive had zero problems with my 10 just basic maintenance that had to be done mostly the belt. check it for dry rot
