I searched to see if there was thread already. Did not seem like it.
Just wondering what you peeps have driven and what your experiences were like before purchasing your Toyota Tacoma.

    Mine:
    2011 - 2019 I drove a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder (silver). 139k miles
Generally it was fine, but all kinds of stupid crap would go wrong with it along the way: My radiator cracked, gas sensor quit, tail gate lock broke, sway bar broke, rack and pinion had to be replaced, passenger side wiper quit, tire pressure sensors quit, windows would randomly go down on their own, timing chain had to be redone, key wouldn't work, ignition coils went bad causing major misfire, catalytic converter went bad because of major misfire. After all of that I somehow managed to dodge the infamous pink milkshake of the trans fluid mixing with the radiator fluid.

    2000 - 2011 I drove a 1994 Ford Explorer (white). 215k miles
This car did me good for a long time. When I was in a band it hauled half of our equipment, went on a road trip to California. The only issues were I had to replace the break cakipers and lines twice. My check engine light always came on for no reason, and then one day the transmission exploded and leaked fluid for about a quarter mile before dying on the side of the road.

    1998 - 2000 I drove my Dad's 1986 chevy k5 Blazer (silver)
I drove this thing arounnd while my Dad had his company work truck because my car was not reliable. The carburetor on this thing was piece of shit. One day it caught on fire and my Dad put it out with his coffee. Also the spark plugs constantly had to be replaced.

    1997 - 1998 I drove a 1972 Chevy Nova with a 350 (primer color, used to be bright blue).
You are probably thinking "bad ass!" right? Well no not really. It was hand me down. It was originally my aunt and uncles, who then gave it to my grand ma, who then gave it to my sister, and then was given to my other sister, and then passed on to me. By the time I got it, this car was POS and I'm 19 years old with no money. My grandma never drove it, so it just sat there. My sister did not take care of it, backed it into a rock and messed up the gas cap, backed in the Nova with her Tacoma messing up the hood, grill, and headlights. My other sister the front right wheel fell off. It leaked power steering all the time. Wouldn't start on cold days, and then one day the transmission just quit. Still bitchen car though. Just about everyday think about buying one that is totally cherry. I think I will someday.

I had a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. Loved the vehicle, put 110K miles on it. Put fender flares on it, painted the top matte black, made it look badass, but then the mileage dropped into the single digits, and was starting to become a money pit, so I got my Tacoma.

1992 jeep Cherokee. Hit 301,000 miles and with a 120 mile a day commute it was time to go less miles and newer.

Still have it and runs like a top. Debating what to do with it

    Still stock completely capable!
-01 5.9 ram 1500 bought in 06 with 120k drove in for 3 years HARD
-99 Corolla 09 bought with 200k drive it for 1 year I drove it SOOO hard finally blew the engine because I was drifting it around redlining it. In all fairness I wanted to get beating on something out of my system.
-06 5.4 F150 bought in 2012 after not having a vehicle for 1 year because I was off work waiting for back surgery. Bought it at 80k put on about 50-60k on it and loved every KM. MINUS the gas!! 6” on 35” tires was lucky to get 350km a tank. So she had to go.
-08 Caliber SRT 4 bought in 2014 120k still own it at 180k this was my favourite vehicle before I bought my Taco. I built it up to 400+whp was a super sleeper and fun as hell but after getting nailed going 60kph over the speed limit and getting it impounded and tickets and points I realized I needed something comfortable and slower to enjoy the ride.
-2018 TRD OR Tacoma! Bought in 2018 10km on the TAC now 22,000km loving every single KM I have placed on it!
    The end lol
