Maybe I should do a ceramic coat as soon as I get it then?

Honestly, you might as well. Make sure you get the full paint correction before the ceramic coating, the dealership will fuck up your paint immediately, so the sooner you get after it the better. I bought my truck used with 21k miles on it and the paint was already beat up pretty good, they did their best to fix it all, but it still looks a million times better than when I got it.

I don’t watch football so I hade to look up Seahawks colors. That’s funny but definitely not it. I’ve been doing the black and green combo on cars since NFS underground came out. And needed another color for the bed decal and didn’t want to go black on black so went with the grey from the interior.

Here's mine... 2017, pretty much "done", though a few small projects left. This was from last weekend out in Okanogan-Wenatchee NF.

I think this is the best place to ask this question. I'm thinking of getting a black truck. I do like the black color, and I understand it will be difficult to keep it clean for 30 mins, after a wash. Yes, black color with a nice shine looks good on a Corvette.

However, I imagine a truck looking "dirty" and black color will highlight dust and dirt better.

Quicksand and Cement were my choices before because they would be easier to keep clean. But I now want to go the other direction.

I know this may not be a popular opinion, but just wondering who is with me. Who like their black color truck looking dirty?

Or do you think this feeling is temp, will wear off, be out of fashion, and I would prefer a clean shine later.

I agree with you on all of what you just said. My second choice was cement, but black was just for me. Even tho it gets dirty and dusty faster, it’s also the best when it’s clean. Ain’t trucks suppose to be dirty?

Will have to agree, the dirt/mud does look good on black sometimes, however, on nice sunny day it looks killer when cleaned up.

I think you will get tired of having a dirty truck all the time. I would recommend getting ceramic coating done, so it looks good when you want it to.

That stuff is amazing, lasts for couple years and shows little swirl marks after washing heavy dirt.

I agree with the others’ inputs. Black trucks look beautiful when it’s freshly cleaned up, and mean when it’s dirty/muddy. The in between stages look like shit, when it’s been through some rain and the sun bakes the spots on
