I bought a ghost kato 5 last year and it’s pretty awesome. Trek is pretty solid for entry level stuff. Brand doesn’t matter as much necessarily as the components.

If you want front suspension, be sure to get one that’s an air shock, the springs suck especially if you are fat. They need too much preload and still bottom out.

A lot of stuff has disk brakes these days, the hydraulic ones are way nicer than the mechanical ones.

If you goto REI or Scheels, they’ll let you test ride anything they’ve got in stock which is pretty nice over just buying blind and finding out it’s uncomfortable or the fit isn’t right.

Any one here have a 5th gen t4r that might want a lowpro rear bumper with swingout? Weld together kit. I’m fairly sure they shipped me the wrong one. Pending resolution obviously. I’m sure they would rather sell it than me ship it back.

Coastal off-road. I’ll let you know when I hear back from them. Hopefully tomorrow.

Low pro swingout with jerrycan holder and highlift brackets. Weld together kit. Also has the removable hitch.

Yes. And shipping was fast. At my door in less than two weeks. It will prob take me two solid days to fit and weld and grind. But hey, better than a cbi @ 2700$ for the same setup

There used to be a couple shops in St. Louis that would measure for fit to find the right frame for people as well as for custom frames.
