try a different dealer, or surprisingly try discount tire or another shop.

See what they come up with.

So, for example, with my '07 Camry I could take you through the whole saga but basically:
    1. 2 Toyota dealers (including the dealer I bought it from)
    2. 3 independent shops

Across them I have dealt with the TPMS at least three dozen times and the whole system has been more or less replaced twice.

The shop I went to today is the one that finally brought the Camry's TPMS problems to a halt (they replaced literally everything and used some kind of fancy sensors).

What's going to happen if it fails again is that I am just going to follow @JoeCOVA s advice and ignore it. Time is too precious to go through this bs again.

I am actually kicking myself because I should have asked. If I have time in the next couple of days I think I am going to stop back there and do so.

I'd rather pay a one time fee,on a new vehicle at the time of purchase. Instead of having a vehicle with TPMS and tire mounted sensors.

Where are the Veegs when you need them. I'd eat endangered sea turtle soup, but I'm no savage, I wouldn't eat endangered sea turtle soup. Made from EST that died from choking on discarded TPMS sensor.
