I have a 2010 Tacoma Access 2wd truck and want to get bigger tires/rims. Can I do 16 inch with out any modifications? What would be a bigger 15" size? The stock 15" tires look small compared to the rest of the vehicle. Thanks

I just put some 16" eagle alloys with 235/60/16 tires. Made a huge difference on looks as well as handling.

Would this cause the speedomter/odometer to be off?

very slightly off since they are 60 series and the stock tires were 70's. You can check the tire fitment thread.

That's what I was thinking. I just got my new Tacoma, and the only thing I don't like is the ugly 15" steel rims that came on it. There was no upgrade option available which sux. I may look to see if there are any reasonably priced 15" rims that will fit the tires that are on it...

There are a few but none of them will be very cheap unless you sacrifice quality.

go to tires.com and put in your vehicle information. You'll see what pulls up and you can go from there. You can also find a wheel online and take it to Discount Tire, and as long as it's in current production or not an exclusive wheel, they can get it. Hope this helps, and good hunting. Be sure to post pics of what you decide!!

You can fit a 16 inch rim on this former 15 inch 5 bolt hub. It is from toyota and was used on their 2000 to 2005 highlander suv. It is 5 bolt and clears the front brake calibers by about 1 inch. It is part #42611--48010

I am fitting 235/75r16 tires----but have not tested it yet as i pick it up today. It adds a lot to this truck. the speedo will be out a bit, reading slower than you are actually going

TRY THIS 16 INCH RIM FROM TOYOTA---PART #42611-48010

IT FITS THE 5 BOLT HUB OF THE 2WD TACOMA. IT WILL TAKE A BIGGER TIRE BUT THE 245/75916 TIRE IS A TIGHT FIT AND A 225 OR 235 MIGHT BE BETTER. SHOULD COST ABOUT 75.00 PER RIM.
THIS RIM WAS ON THE HIGHLANDER SUV AND LOOKS GOOD.

I JUST TESTED MY 2010 TACOMA 2.7L 2WD, FITTED WITH THE 16 INCH RIM I MENTIONED FROM TOYOTA

I ENDED UP WITH GOODYEAR WRANGLER SILENT ARMOUR TIRES IN 235/70R16. I HAD WANTED 75R SIZE WHICH WOULD ADD ABOUT ONE HALF MORE HEIGHT, BUT COULD NOT GET THEM. THE 70R SIZE HAS LOTS OF ROOM IN THE WHEEL WELL, AND GIVES THE TRUCK OVER AN INCH MORE GROUND CLEARANCE---ALMOST THE CLEARACE OF THE 4WD.

iT HANDLES VERY GOOD, BUT REQUIRES A BIT MORE 3RD GEAR FOR PASSING, AND THE SPEEDO READS ABOUT 7% SLOWER THAN IT IS ACTUALLY GOING. IT ADDS A LOT OVER RUTTED BUSH ROADS AND AND LOOKS TERRIFIC COMPARED TO THE WIMPY STOCK 15 INCH 215/70R15 TIRES.

just sold the 15 inch wheels fom my 2010 tacoma for a good cash price thru kajiji with no photo.

The new 16 inch rims and 235/70r16 wrangler silent armor tires are excellent and give more than one inch more ground clearance, the truck now looks like the 4wd version, the new wheels beef it up a lot. very pleased with the larger wheel gambit.

The 16 inch rims are from the the 2003 toyota highlnder and cost me $80.00 each at my ontario dealership. the look very good with the big tires.

NO the part number of the wheel discs (rims) is correct here in Ontario. I am running them on my 2010 2wd tacoma . formerly 15 inch.

The part number is on my march 1 parts invoice, in my hand. The part # is 42611-48010 . The parts department said they were formerly on the highlander suv years 2000 to about 2004.

they fit the tacoma as indicated in 16 inch.
