unfortunately not :( great truck but never really appealed to me, i forsure have the need for a full size truck in the future but not really the budget to be able to look too far into anything like that.

i open my wallet and i just see truck parts!

Alrighty i did a thing and it kinda look cool, yeah:) Very straightforward install just unscrew and plug and replug. I've been putting it off for a while lol but finally gave in to the never ending shopping cart and treated myself. Still need to order Led reverse lights and blinkers but look good and function for now. Re-used bulb from old light cause reverse light in the new one wasn't included.

**And, no pics of 3rd brake light cause it was a b*tch. The adhesive thingy was all old and crusty and wouldn't come off. I ended up breaking the old light as i was taking it off. The new one fits but doesn't exactly fit the curvature of the roof and the provided adhesive piece didn't "seal" to my liking. So i went and got some rtv and made sure i wasn't going to have any leaks

let me know what your plans are for restoring the outer rubber stripping on your rear window
mine is fading too and would like it looking blacker but have not yet found the proper method to restore that!
    have you anything in mind?
... that goes for drivers and passenger window trim as well!

Attention to detail! Unfortunately no i have not :( It is one of those things that is in the back of my mind to get done but hasn't been high on the list of priority. Im thinking heavily on painting my truck with bedliner in the near future, so im sure replacing all of the old rubber weather stripping things will come up. I will make sure to include a note on what i find!

    Bad Bad Bad Bad:(
Decided to do the inevitable and take a look under the haunted plastic bed liner thingy... I knew it would be dirty and honestly in better condition than most but i did find a few rusted spots and holes that need to be touched up. Not a big deal as bed-lining the whole truck is becoming more and more likely to happen in the near future. *hint hint*
Gave the truck a good wash today and it rained shortly after so it was a nice wasted two hours :)
    Tear down begins hopefully soon!

has that bedliner ever been removed as far as you know?

i recently removed mine that had been in there for 22 years without ever coming off
It was the type that covered those dreaded rope hooks from the elements (@jbrandt how many is the # upto now?) so until a very small spot of corrosion! (it often had tons of snow and ice packed in there)
also removed the hooks before getting the Line-X and was a major PITA that went on and on

i think i am going to leave mine on when i spray the bedliner but im unsure yet, i might just leave the screw in the hole so i don't have to worry about that but i am trying to info crush on how to diy paint a truck in a short period of time (trying to finish big chunk of stuff on truck before i start freshman year of college and really have no time). So im watching every video on raptor liner because i might as well paint the whole truck while im at it right lol Lots of little dits and dings that will need bodywork done so im trying to figure it all out

***only cleaned under the bed liner once in my ownership of my truck and was about a year and a half ago and looked about the same as this but there was no visible signs of rust at the time***

My dad helped me take out my bedliner a few days ago. Then he took the bedliner out of his 2011 Tundra. There was a lot of dirt under mine, but not much rust. Only one area in the bed looks bad, but no holes. The Tundra has two areas in the bed that look pretty bad. It's rusted through in one corner! My dad was surprised at how good the Taco's bed looks. He bought that truck new in 03 and the bedliner was in there for 16 years. I gave the old bedliner to my goats to use as a shelter and they love it! My truck has rust on the outside of the bed. I took it to some body shops, but they don't want to mess with it. My dad told a friend who works on vehicles about our trucks and he said he would fix them. My dad told him that the rust on my truck wasn't bad. That's what we thought until we saw what the fender flares were hiding. It was a very sad sight. The front fenders are good, but it rotted out pretty bad on the bed. I 'll get pics.

This is how the worst side looked before the fender flare came off. It looks so bad, my dad wants to put the flares back on until it gets fixed, but I won't let them things back on my truck!IMG_5107.jpg

I haven't checked deep in my wheel wells only a glance and not seen anything. My bed has been full of mud a time or two and i always make sure to clean as much as i can. As far as my rust im going to try to sand it down completely and use bondo to fill the holes and smooth it out. My plan of attack is to do the bed first and get comfortable with all the prep and bedliner because if i mess something up it won't be like the end of the world; nobody pays that close of attention to a truck bed. Only thing im missing for this project is an air compressor but i am several friends that have one so it'll involve me finding time in both our schedules and this whole project will have to be relatively quick as my truck is daily driven and ill be out a car for a week im guessing at most
