Hmm, maybe try a few carpenter/saw tool boxes. Or get a bigger-ass tool chest with a wide deep top drawer. Watch your back, safety third.

Actually three cars. 1957 356 Speedster, 1964 Citroën 2CV, and a 1970 Citroën DS 21 Pallas. I’ve got a thing for low displacement European cars.

Still not fully taking advantage of them, I need to do some reorg after I finish the truck.

Nice. Jesus, you'll be able to make your own Pink Panther movie. Does the 2CV have the ragtop and spare on the hood?

That’s funny, whole family loves Peter Sellers movies. All I’d need would be a Citroën H van.

No spare on the hood, those came with the “Safari” models that have an additional engine placed in the rear. Extremely rare cars but from time to time you’ll find people have fitted the hoods to other cars. Rolling canvas roof and suicide doors.

When we lived in Germany my mother had one and I loved it. Like riding around in an overstuffed armchair. The DS is the model that came with a hydro pneumatic suspension that unless you lowered the car down as low as it went would roll side to side in town and on rural roads.

For anything except small jobs you will spend the time you saved by not having to take care of extension cords changing batteries to get the job done.

I would mount a retractable reel high on the wall or ceiling and then use some velcro straps to keep most of the cord from the grinder nice and tidy and then just run that set-up for grinding jobs. It should take only minutes to pull the grinder out, plug into the retractable reel and you are off to the races. Clean-up should only take a few minutes.

I have two retractable reels, and it takes about 30 seconds to get grinder out and plug in, and about them same to put away, but when I do it 10x in a day it gets kind of old.

I'm sticking with corded for now. I'll probably pick up a cordless when they are on sale or when a job dictates.

Retractable is the way to go for a garage! I have my air and power cord on them.
