Hello all, I’m new to the forum but figured this is something you all can help me with. I’m looking into getting rock sliders, but want some with side steps instead of a full length board. I’m trying to keep the price around 700 and would like it to be bolt on. Any suggestions? Any feedback helps. Thanks.

I don't think you will find what your looking for. Most are full length to increase protection for the body.

They're not rock sliders if it has a step. Just get some steps then or rails and use them as a step. Rock sliders need to hold the weight of the vehicle, steps just people.

I thought I’ve seen some sliders that you can buy/bolt steps onto. I might have been mistaken but I could have swore they had some. I want more protection than steps, but don’t like the look of most sliders.

I want the sliders to be full length, I just didnt know if there were any that stayed closer to the frame with steps or the option of steps instead of having a protruding board under the doors. Thanks for the insight

try looking up N-fab and Magnum, probably what you're looking for. Or the oem Predator steps.

My whole theory was to try and find sliders with bolt on steps. That way when I hit the trails I could unbolt them if needed, but leave them on around town for my girl. If it’s not possible I’ll definitely be getting sliders over steps. Just wanted to check and make sure what I really wanted wasn’t available before dropping 1k on sliders.

You won’t find a slider with a step that’s made for abuse. But RCI 5 degree slider with top plate work great for a step. My wife and kids love them.

That’s exactly what I’m going to do. I’m trying to stick with one brand all around amd I’ve only heard good things about rci. Probably going to get skids, plates, bed rack, and front bumper all from them. Thanks for the response

I’m sure you’ll be happy with them. If you’re willing to wait for a holiday sale their discount usually is enough to take care of freight shipping.

However, the vendor is AWOL. Maybe get a local fabricator to make a set.

If price is reasonable, get skids and sliders from the same mfr to avoid conflicting frame mounts. With bumpers and bed racks you can mix & match for best features and pricing.

Just put griptape on the sliders and use them as a step. My wife does fine with them and she’s 5’1”.

Actual steps = trail hooks...no bueno

All the usual diesel truck mods- fuel system upgrade, programmer, CAI, intake manifold, 60MM stealth turbo
Relentless or mobtown. Hands down the best on the market- especially for bolt-on.

I’m in the slc area so I’m sure I can find someone to work with. I’ll start asking around. Thanks for all of the input
