Im sorry but that’s backwards thinking. I guess we should just forget crumple zones and go back to solid frames vehicles, get rid of airbags, and remove our headrests, while also dialing the speed limits back down to like 55mph max so people don’t die instantly from massive trauma during collisions.

There is a difference between a nanny and safety. People want to ride in the bed of a pickup rolling down a trail or down the beach, whatever, but highway speeds are asking for passenger fatalities. People forget it doesn’t have to be their own dumbassary behind the wheel that gets themselves or others hurt, but everyone else on the road needs to be factored in also. Only takes one dickbag not paying attention to rear end you at 70mph while you yourself have come to a stop in traffic.

Yeah, nah mate. Dealer installed does not have the manufacturers “stamp of approval.” The dealer owns all the liability on that stuff which as you know doesn’t add up to much when you have to take it back to them and hold them accountable.

How could you even suggest such a thing? What if the passenger shot the driver? They could all die!

I remember my neighbor near Marble Falls had an old school bus with a giant fuckin’ frame welded to the outside and over the roof so they could sit up there and hunt. Had all the driver controls up there too. Thing was horrifically magnificent.

Now that we're thinking about it, the front is really underutilized. The Japanese, have a solution (yet again). It wasnt supposed to be for this..... but think about a couple of tykes having a ball on the front of that. They even added a nice big bench in the bed (Children = Downforce)
