Like carbon tax, gas tax, etc

We all know taxes make us safer

So is letting the homeless shoot up drugs on the streets. Used needles and literal human shit on the streets. I feel so safe

Chopped exhaust. Made a heat shield for the spare. I don’t think its necessary I touched the shield after extended driving and it was warm at best. May still be helpful against rubber deterioration in the long term

Got the 255/85/16 ST Maxx mounted, balanced and got an alignment while I was there. Honestly they ride and feel great low road noise and braking and acceleration seemed fine. I am guessing I will loose a few MPG but I am fine with that though. No rubbing at all but I have only drove them home from the shop. So far so good and happy with my choice of tire and size.

God I so want to do this. But I'm so sketched out that my rtt and gear will cause me to rub. I really don't want to lift the truck ATM but I want the 255s so bad. Just scared to death they'll rub.

How much of that extra weight is in the front? The further rear you put the weight, the better the odds of no rub, because most all of the rub is at the front. I'm fully expecting my (future) rear bumper to reduce rub at the front because it's pulling the rear end down and levering up the front.

Seems like an expensive bet to make lol.

I'd just hate to buy a set and have to turn around an sell em.
It's over the read axle so who knows what it's doing.

Probably next to nothing on the front then. I imagine you'll be fine. Worst case pick up some 1/4" strut spacers they use to fix taco lean, you'll gain 1/2" at the tire and be basically within OEM ride height specs still.

I picked up 4+1 cooper stmaxx 255/85/16 a few weeks ago from discount tire. They installed them on my stock wheels and the spare fit nicely under the bed. I've done a lot of highway driving and I've taken them off road on some nice and dirty trails. I love them. Not a single hint of rub anywhere. I have to do a really tight Michigan u turn to get home so even cranked all the way to the left or right rippin around the turn at 25mph it doesn't touch anything. Just had to take the front mud flaps off. I get about the same gas mileage no real difference, lots of hills and such.

Thank you for posting this thread-- giving me the confidence to get these tires not having to waste time doing any cmc or worry about rubbing. I needed some additional ground clearance for the trails and I won't be doing any suspension/lift work until next year$$! BROFIST

Anyone running 255/85r16s on TRD Off Road wheels have aftermarket UCAs?

Was looking at JBA high caster arms but this has me thinking they won't work:
