Low beam led lights. After I installed the new led it doesn't come on. It has auto highbeam.
I got my 2019 Taco back in June. I let the gas go half tank. And, I filled it up. Should I have waited and let it go empty before putting in more gas. I'm still a rookie to "breaking in" new vehicles.

What are you trying to accomplish by filling at 1/4 vs 1/2 tank?

You would get better mpg with an almost empty tank. A full tank of gas weighs over 160lbs.

You can follow the procedure in your owners manual and be just fine.

If you find a page that includes volume of fuel in the tank before refilling, please post a picture.

    Stock and staying that way
I go to 1/4 tank or less to minimize the number of times I have to stop for gas.

The correct procedure is to run the tank down until the light comes on. Once there, you need to fill up with diesel. This will strain the engine and seat all bearing and anneal the rods and pistons. Once you’ve ran through the tank of diesel you’ll need to run at min 97 octane for 6.37 tanks. After that, you can be assured in the reliability of your new trucks engine.

I’m just fucking with you OP. Fill up as you’d normally do and all will be fine. Just don’t put diesel in the tank.

Well theoretically wouldn’t this put undue wear on the fuel pump overtime? I’ve always heard to increase the longevity of the pump fill up at 1/4 tank

You can put over 26 gallons of gas in your truck? Wow mine doesn't hold nearly that much.

I use to always fill up at 1/4 no matter what vehicle I had. One thing i do though is I always make sure to fill it and not just put a gallon or 2.
