    North Scottsdale or Scottsdale adjacent. I have a buddy that works for Penske collision waiting on a bid from him, might just use one of our network body shops in the airpark. Would like to get it done sooner rather than later since it went down to bare sheetmetal.

    @OnePuttBlunder

    When the Mercedes drove into my fender, I had Dale’s Bodyworks replace the fender and paint match. Can’t tell the paint matched spruce mica vs the factory paint on adjacent body panels so I was satisfied with them.

    Oh speaking of insurance, who do you guys like or who can get some good deals?

    At the age where I need to get my own plan. Been paying my parents for years and it’s just time to have my own plan. My renters insurance is up this month so I was going to try to do it all at once.

    Any suggestions?

    Wife and I don’t shop around for insurance on a yearly basis like some people recommend and I don’t know if there is any significance to being company loyal or having an extensive history with one particular insurance company but we have our house, vehicle, life and some other ancillary insurance policies with State Farm and for the few times so far that we have put in claims, they have been great.

    Same here, very few claims but they were always helpful and quick to respond. After 25 years we should get something for loyalty.

    This is one part of the product management side of the house that I just dont get. Why there is not more tiered loyalty discounts? Above my paygrade, but unfortunately it happens, we see it on older policies 9-10+ years that just price themselves out of being competitive.

    I know all the financial advise is shop shop shop etc but there is something said about having a really good agent when shit hits the fan on a big complex claim having someone local that know you and has your back. I've worked both sides call center and agency and the level of personal service you can get from a good agent is miles better than a 1-800 number. Key word there is good agent.

    I shop insurance prices every couple years. AAA has consistently beat State Farm, farmers, etc etc by quite a few hundred for auto and home.
    They have had great customer service when we needed it with a local agent as well as the 800 number.
    I don't understand when people say State Farm, farmers, etc etc are so great since the agent practically knows you but still charges a considerable amount more when you get the same thing with a cheaper rate/company. Money savings is money savings.

    Ticks me off that insurance goes up every year though with no at fault accidents or tickets.

    It went up for sure but the truck is the most expensive to insure in our house.

    Did not have good results with camelback. Would not recommend their collision center.

    you need to understand that insurance is about risk. people that have any type of accidents and tickets are a higher risk.

    shopping around is one thing, but if you’re switching companies every couple years, it can actually hurt you.

    be aware that purchasing through an independent agent can make your price higher because they can charge commissions and fees that you wouldn’t get charged direct.
