It appears to pay $1.10 per share per year. So you can divide that by the current share price for yield. Maybe they calculated it a while ago at a higher share price? I’d be all over it if it paid 6%.

TD ameritrade has it at $5.02 at $1.10- a moving target based on todays price. Looks very international which gives me pause as does the morning start 2 stars... but then again I realize I know crap and go back and see the 5% on a ETF and think dont look bad to me...

I thought the same thing with the holdings, but in my case figured it could be good since I am almost completely in domestic equities. I think my only foreign holding is ENB, which is Canadian, so doesn't really count.

I think Total Return (TR) includes dividends reinvested, and Price Return (PR) only includes capital appreciation.

In my opinion, this would be a fund that you would buy and collect the dividends as either income or reinvest if you can. I would not count on much capital appreciation, but I would expect a relatively stable share price, so you wouldn't gain or lose much there, but you'd be getting paid along the way.

There have been so many revisions downward out of fear of the trade war, I think most companies will crush earnings.

I thought I’d share this article. It has changed the way I’ll be doing things going forward. I have skimmed off of stocks that were up in order to build a new position. Not doing that anymore, I’ll just be patient and use new money and dividends for that. I will still consider selling shares if 1. dividends are cut, or 2. I need emergency money. But I will not skim anymore, the difference it makes over time is just too significant. This would apply to long-term investors, not traders.

AT&T already went through all this when it was broken into a bunch of other companies.

I think the regulations on antitrust just aren’t up to date enough to regulate the big tech companies. They didn’t exist when these laws were written, so probably a good thing that they’re looking into them.
