    I was all concerned about heatsoak yesterday. Slept on it. Woke up this am and knew what the issue was. Bypass valve. Hose came off the fpr, bypass opened. Boost went away. FPR has a clamp on it now. 5:00 am car repair. Boost is back!

    Hmm. Well. There are quite a few of us going further than any man before. Treading that path just to see where it takes us. The spirit of the adventurer.

    I myself have a Darton MID sleeved block, with a Brian Crower stroker crank, ARP head and main studs, rods & pistons, 1mm larger I take and exhaust valves, upgraded dual valve springs, cams (twice), a EFR 9180 turbo, and a T56 transmission. Summarized, it looks like not much. Lol.

    Glad to help! Pretty surprised at how low the Toyota filter performed, but I have ran the toyota filters with no major issues since I have had the truck. I just switched to the amsoil filter on my last oil change, so I will see how it holds up in the oil test next year when I change it.

    No doubt Amsoil products are some of the best but I take their own advertised results with a grain of salt. They likely know the Toyota filter is their biggest competitor. Makes me wonder if there is any bias added in to reflect that. Just speculation though.

    Like AFE and K&N showing +20 hp dyno's for their intakes

    I understand your thoughts here. If what they are showing is false, because they listed a specific toyota filter, and test parameters and it wasn’t true Toyota could sue Amsoil I am pretty sure.

    I agree on the cold air intake dynos being bogus though. Even if they added 10 HP, it’s probably completely useless in terms of daily driving, and just a good number on paper.

    Not satisfying news here. Truck was having some kind of ignition problem. Got codes for two coil packs. Truck would run strong for 30-120 seconds then the entire engine felt like it just stopped firing (like not just one or two misfires, all 6 cylinders).

    That said I did get a few runs, only around 400ftlbs and 355whp. Boost hit a maximum of 14.79psi. I will post the dyno charts when I get them scanned. These numbers are less than last time, but last time it was a dry cold winter day so I guess that makes sense.

    Mood is dampened, though, by the need to troubleshoot this ignition issue.
