Good point. I remember the house next to ours in AL kept getting mailboxed. Guy finally had enough and made a decoy out of DOM tubing and 1/2in plate. Said he woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of a yelp and tires screeching. Found a folded baseball bat in the gutter the next morning.

 

I faintly recall hearing in the news years ago a story of kids hitting mailbox home runs then lo and behold the homeowner reinforced it so well that the next kid who came around ended up with like two broken arms. This ended with the homeowner being charged with negligence I believe....

I tried a google search, but could only find a story of a kid who ended up swinging at a telephone poll by mistake, the bat swung back and knocked him out cold... I think that one ended in some serious injuries as well...

What about that spaghetti at the battery and the oped spade connectors without and shielding or shrink style.

 

Its clean now. And concealed in the battery box. No one is going to see it. Out of sight out of mind

 

Or a naked pops photo....

 

Or some passive/aggressive sticker placement.
