Those are 2012+ headers. 2011- don't have the air tubes.

correct, I was told these are still useable on the 2005-2011's the headers fit, but air tubes are not utilized. The air injection holes are not part or the primaries and don't cause an issue.

    Correct, they fit.
But you need to be more accurate in your description. They are for 2012-2015. They fit 2005-2011 with modification (block-off plate).

ah, thanks! I made changes to the description.

This was mentioned by AFe, but as they explained to me the cylinder heads on the 05-11 Tacomas do not have a port for air injection and a block off plate is not necessarily required. The hole and tubes are seperate from the primaries and do not connect to anything on 05-11. so, simply can be left alone.

The cats going out seems to be a common theme with the AFE headers. Too bad they picked such a shit spot for the O2 bung also so you can’t just weld in your ORM cats

I did also see that, I thought i would just have the stock cats welded to these but no, wont work. then I called AFe, they wont sell me a replacement weld on cat, so all they could suggest (and I suggest to any prospective buyers) is to either; buy 1 replacement side AFe header or purchase a similar cat and have an exhaust shop weld it on along with the o2 bung.

It will. You can a) run it as is because the 05-11 heads don’t have the provision for the air injection, b) make block of plates for the rail openings or c) grind the whole rail tubes off and hit with some exhaust paint.

As far as the cats go the easiest way is to have an exhaust shop weld in through pipes and get the O2 sims that URD sells to trick the ECU and keep spark plugs from fouling.

That way you’ll even pass smog in Cali (provided that these are CARB legal which I believe they are?) because nobody is going to notice that stunt

No, no CARB number is provided by AFe for these, only thing i found was they are "EPA compliant". These would pass a visual and sniff test (as long as the cats are good and no engine light is present) but the tech is supposed to look or ask for the CARB number.

Here is the link to them on the manufacturer website if anyone is interested.
    https://afepower.com/afe-power-48-46003-twisted-steel-headers-street-series#overview

As far as I know the only header with a CARB number for our trucks are the Doug Thorley shorties.

Any idea how much shipping is to 46552 for the headers? I don’t have to worry about smog test here in good ol Indiana. I can hollow that cat out and run em.
