    One is copper, one is Platinum or Iridium. The 354 sounds like it was a subsquent code due to irregular sparking. You did not replace the coils right?

    Everyone will have an opinion regarding what is wrong. Hell even the tow truck dudes will, and those guys have no business stating what is wrong... My best advice to you is when it comes to this stuff is to systematically eliminate things one at a time. Go with the cheaper options before jumping into deeper stuff, unless you just want to preventatively replace stuff as precaution, which is cool and I'm all for also.

    Examine the plugs carefully first before replacing anything. If you send me a picture of all of them and show me what they look like I can tell you whether or not the plugs are the issue or the coil is. A larger plug gap requires more coil energy to jump the electrode gap. If you run your gap too high or the gap opens up too much over time and fires like that without some sort of maintenance or replacement the coils will prematurely fail.

    I'll tell you right now, based on the symptoms and the God knows how many cars I have seen with this exact issue, the coils internal circuitry are failing once they start heating up. I have seen it happen as low as 80K and as high as 250K on original OE coils. It's just a toss up when it comes to electronics is all it boils down to.

    It would be best if you sent me the list of your codes first. It is also critical that I know which code of all of them was the freeze data code. Those can be retrieved in global OBD 2 non vehicle specific scanner function.

    So originally it threw a P0300 and P0304, so I changed the coil pack. Truck drove GREAT for a week. Monday I get in to go to work, start it and it's misfiring, then it smoothed out. Drove it down the road it seemed ok, until I got on the main road and it was misfiring like crazy. Turned around and limped it back home, then hopped in the taco and drove that to work. I just dropped the taco off at Toyota so I was like well shoot better try plugs now, and sure enough looks like they haven't been changed in a while. Just got back from my test drive and it's running like a top again, even at 359,000 miles :mudding:

    So I went for a drive to collect some cruising data. No issues. Running smooth, strong as before. Cruised for about half an hour. What givers.

    You either have a short circuit in the harness (unlikely unless you have seen rat droppings inside your engine bay) or as I stated your coils are internally beginning to short out during heat cycles.

    These engine bays get INCREDIBLY HOT. It's a wonder anything survives in there actually if you really think about it.

    There’s a lot of load on the truck on the dyno. Like a lot of times if there’s a misfire might not happen at idle. But if u brake and gas at the same time and load the engine it will misfire.

    My exhaust blew off in an apocalyptic rainstorm. It was kinda loose because it blew off at the dyno (you’d think I’d be making more power considering). I’m waiting on the side of the road for it to slow down so I can reattach it.

    Denso works fantastic. We have had a near zero comeback rate for even customers with the highest amounts of drive time on them on some of the hottest running engines.

    I would be happy if I got close to that. Although I’m not going to far with mine. Just changing the pulley, exhaust and fuel pump. Plus I’m also installing a direct injection LPG system as petrol is expensive here. So anything better than stock standard I’ll be apply with.

    @Athlaos I wonder if you crossed the tipping point of efficiency going below the 2.0 pulley or whatever the max efficiency is. I bet at that size pulley trying to pull that much air that the entire inlet elbow of the blower is a bottleneck limiting you now. Time for the elbow-chop mod that @Roostfactor was pondering.

    Yes, I believe below 2.3 or so there is almost no gains based on other dyno results I’ve seen. There could be gains, provided other flow mods are done such as the throttle relocation as you say, and intake and head porting. And cams!
