265/65R17 E Rated tires

Anyone running 265/65R17 E rated? Will I be making a mistake if I go with the bfg all-terrain in that rating and size. They will be wrapping on some 17" konig countersteer type x. How much of a ride different will I feel from the stock bridgestone duelers?

 

It'll feel like a full sized for a ride. Bye bye plush, hello bone jarring ride.

I have damn near same size, same tires.

Plus side is these tires be fucking armoured.

 

C rating would be my choice.

 

I've got load range "D" LT 265/70/R-16's on my '06. Wanted a stiff side wall for towing and I got it. Like Krazie SJ said "bye bye plush ride" but after all it is a truck.

 

Yeah I want to go with c range but then I would have to go with 265/70R17. But I'm trying to stick with 265/65R17 and those are only available in e range for bfgs at

 

I have E. Rated km2 and they ride fine. A little ruff but it is a truck. They are also heavy. That is the only bad part

 

I hear on here there will be issues if you put that size on aftermarket wheels and I know they will be fine on stock sport rims but I'm getting tires for 17" konig countersteer type x. And no lift that's why I'm sticking to the stock size I just really like the look and tread design on the bfg at.

OK, let me be of some assistance. What's the offset and width of the Konigs? The BFG AT in 265/70/17 will give you NO rub issues what-so-ever on the 17" Konigs, provided the proper width (not 9") with proper offset. I'm running the 265/70/17 Load Range C, with no rub issues on a 7.5" wheel with a 15mm offset

 

I am running 265/70/17 on 8 wide 4.5 bs wheels, they rub on the front of the fender liner, that little bump piece at the lower front and only on the drivers side.

COLOR: Matte Black
OFFSET: -10
PCD: 6x139.7

 

Your offset and width are fine. You should be able to run a 265/70/17 without a problem. But if you do rub, it would be due to the offset being a little too low. I would go for as close to a zero offset as you can. Hope this helps and good luck
