must give a big shout-out and thank you to the service guys at Corwin Toyota for helping me out of a jam in getting the rope hooks off my truck before Monday's LineX job
it was EXTREMELY loud echo in their garage with the Bang Bang Bang of the impact tool and mini sledgehammer

Today on highway 2 in Lincoln I caught a super brief glimpse through traffic of a really built cement 3rd gen. It had full bumpers I believe and a snorkel and prinsu front rack. Couldn't catch if it was a Nebraska plate. Anyone on here? Definitely the most modded Tacoma I've seen here.

I started a thread on this subject, but figured I would post it here too..... any hidden gems out there?

Planning a trip from IL to CO in the near future and I am looking to break the drive there into 2 days since it is a 14 hour drive. I am looking for suggestions for a good place camp for a night somewhere in Nebraska. Sure I could find plenty of campgrounds on the map, but I would like to get some input from the members here as well. I will be taking my son(15) and nephew(16) who both enjoy the outdoors. I am not looking for a Jellystone or KOA type campground….. open to dispersed camping.

    Thanks in advance!

Two Rivers, Platte River, and Mahoney are popular. I haven't camped at any of them, but I've visited each park, and they all seem decent.

are you opposed to stopping in western Iowa?
western Nebraska is quite the drive (which is the places I was going to say to look at near the Scottsbluff area) unless you are going to the far west Colorado?
Iowa is an extremely quick state to get through, I think I made it through in under 4 hours yesterday

I looked up Leadville and its probably a good 10hr drive from Omaha/Lincoln area (with stops) are you starting from Chicago area?

there is a good size lake in the middle western part near Ogallala that would be 5 or 6 hours from Leadville
and it looks like the lake is about 5 hours from Omaha/Lincoln (its been +10yrs since I drove that far west)

if you can get those kids up early and out the door before 7am make it there by sundown!

Ya I agree on Lake Mcconaughy, it's hardly a detour from the interstate and has dispersed beach camping all around the 20+ mile lake. Great choice before you get to the Colorado border.

it may be best to get those kids up and out the door at 6am in IL ... I think Mcconaughy is in the Mountain Time Zone?
that would offer a chance to sleep in before the drive to Colorado

@HuskerTrucker ... is this in the Millard area? or somewhere on 72nd or Dodge Street (why could you not take a better pic lol!) I think I can barely make out a Kohl's store in the background behind the corner of the watering hole

I personally haven't enjoyed working with them but it's really just 1 service technician that I've had an issue with. They charge a ridiculous amount and a $100 (or might have been slightly more) diagnosis fee to even look at your vehicle. I thought that was absurd.
