ok, weigh in! Who do you think is the best college football head coach?

My vote goes to Mack Brown - Texas.

    Go Horns!

Edit: I should probably limit this to CURRENT coaches - not best of all time. :)

Mack Brown is good, but he tends to hire big name assistants, so is he really doing the coaching? I think Nick Saban is doing a good job, he's a bit more hands on when it comes to coaching compared to Mack Brown.

    +1

Second year at Alabama and we're 8-0. He's very much a hands-on coach and a great recruiter. He already has one national championship, and I have little doubt that he'll win another one or two before he's finished.

Joe Pa - long career w/ consistant record.

Nick Saban - probably the best current coach if looking at recent history only.

Since 2001 Ol' Bobby has had a tough time: First he shouldn't have hired his son as Offensive Coordinator, Then he should have had a more hands-on approach. I'm glad Jimbo FINALLY has the helm

Bill Snyder, performed the greatest turnaround in College Football History.

Is he the greatest of all time, no, but he is pretty darn good. As much as it pains me to say it, Tom Osborne is pretty high on that list of greats. (edit, take Tom off, I see you said current)

I know I am going to anger some Texas fans but with the recruits Mack Brown gets, the money Texas has, he should win the National Championship every year.
