Who says it needs an alignment? Does it drive straight? Tires wearing evenly?

What recalls have you had? There's the radar water ingress one. Which others?

Get an alignment and move on. My SR has never had a straight steering wheel. I'm holding off on an alignment until after I get some TRD Pro shocks.

    Work in progress...
I had the ac blower go out. Toyota fixed in in about 45 minutes while I drank coffee and ate donuts in their snack shack. They later sent me a recall notice on the ac blower fan. So I guess I got that going for me ...which is nice!

    None yet.
I’ve had Toyota’s in the past and had no issues. We switched to Nissan and my Frontier was rock solid (other than horrible gas mileage) until I totaled it. My wife got me the Taco because of the front end collision warning system. Now that the Nissan Titan will have it starting in 2020 I’ll be going back to Nissan. Shame because I really love the Tacoma’s.

Or just by the rock solid 2ng Gen, lol. No issues in 115k so far. 4.0 for the win. Just be ready for shit mpg's.
Last gen Titan i had couldnt stay out the damn shop. Maybe new ones better. I'd get the Cummins though, less Nissan parts the better, lol.

    Yeah.
The alignment check that they do in the front service area is not always very accurate, or the kids doing it mess it up. They told me the same on my 2012, so I had them align it. Once they got it on the actual rack, the "before" numbers were actually all within spec.

My neighbor has a Titan (2018). Seems to be a good truck and he likes it. I just can't get over the styling. Face only a mother could love.

I've hit at least seven curbs at the mall recently without issue so far...you could say I go off road a lot.

Is there sufficient proof on this forum yet that the 2nd gen IS best?

nada....maybe a license plate one day & BA bumpers
I keep reading threads like this & wonder...did the 3rd gen taco really take that big of a step back in 'toyota' quality?
I have a gen2 with a fair amount of miles on it (320k+) & have never had an alignment! not once!
tempting to jump into a 3rd gen taco, but not after this thread....more than ever, I am aiming for 500k

    1) how do you know that?

    2) folks would be stunned if they realized that most every vehicle would benefit from a proper alignment right off the showroom floor. While most are likely 'in spec', that is a broad range. Having the numbers balanced side to side for the best driving experience is worth the cost of admission. To me.

Some things should not be bragged about.
